The last one is true for any budget, the second one is irrelevant if it works and the first one is probably true. I find it ironic that people viewed the Conservatives as fairer, including taxes. Remarkable.

As Andre Neil at the time, on the daily politics pointed out. There was only a 0.4 a year difference in annual departmental savings between the 2 parties. 2.6% and 2.2 plans by labour.

All the Tory big wigs now saying he’s was really a great chancellor… after he passes away, and actually he really did seem to be a decent guy. I’d rate him many levels above the current lot we have in power in 2023.

First and only 21 minutes late. I watched the Prime-Ministers questions that preceded this and I wanted to see what the budget was like back with Labour. Also quite shocked when the Members mentioned deaths in Afghanistan. An alien world it was.
