September 26, 2024: Fist timer to your channel and first how you elevated knitting with the bag. The bag is on a great sale as of today. Definitely securing one to hold a project on the go with style. Your bags are beautiful. I am investing in that portable scale, which before in the beginning and stil a novice, is a must tool to stop purchasing too many extra yarns! This is a channel for me with the organization that is so pleasing to the eye. I also put in a small pouch with tea, cash and hard candy or other smalll treat. Don’t you agree we always say “oh just one more round” then hours later😊 Oh do not excuse for printing a pattern. I have tried digital ones but not working for me. So I print and put in a document protector to take along and put notes on it. This maybe excess but will print 2 copies of a pattern I know will use again. I put all the notes on the clean one in a notebook. This is a game changer for me.

It sounds like we may knit similarly & yes, I have poked holes in my finger with Hiya Hiya Sharps! I use 9" circs for sock knitting, but I do like the Knitters Pride Zings for dpns when I work on the toe. I enjoyed this video - I'm so curious too!

Hi Nicole, it's always nice to see you! I used a video tutorial (maker Erica Arndt) and made needle holders for my interchangeables and DPNs but have seperate ones for the cords and for the tips. I'm with you re: the lightbulb shaped stitch markers - they work for knitting and for crocheting so what's not to like? I will take your tips on bullet journaling to heart - right now I'm at the stage you described with notes books everywhere and in disarray. I'm trying to utilize KnitCompanion for patterns but paper and ink are still my go to 🤷🏽‍♀. Thanks for a fun episode!

I completely get what you were saying about wondering how people decorate etc. I walked past a house a few days ago and they had an old phone box in their front garden. My immediate reaction was if that's in their garden, what is in the house 😂

I think this isb the 3rd video of yours that popped up for me and wow...... the similarities! I'm a minimalist, tight knitting nurse, that loves earl grey (as a london fog). We watch almost all the same podcasts and like them for the same reason. I'm newer to knitting but have been crocheting forever! There are more, but wow!

This was most enjoyable! I am all about COLOR!! I have one daughter who is all about the neutrals, and I wonder where she came from!! I like your streamline organization of your knitty goodness! Me, I have different project bags that sit around my chair in my knitting room (retired special Ed teacher here) and I just grab the bag I want to knit on while out. My daughter bought me a huge MK bag, but sadly, it just seems to heavy for me. Isn't it great that we can be so different! Glad to see that you are a sister in Christ! Blessings!

Thanks for sharing what's in your knitting bag. You are NOT wrong about super sharp needles putting a hole in your finger! Super fun coming across you as I was searching out new knitting vlogs. I also have a lot of curiosity about how other people do things - decorate their homes, etc. :) Anyway, happy knitting... looking forward to seeing more from you.

I keep my fixed needles in the original plastic/vinyl packaging. Then they are easy to find a size and I just keep them on their side like a file system.... Like file folders in a row. I can just flip through and find what I need

That's a great idea! ❤I failed at that system almost immediately because I threw away the packaging right away.😢

I knit the same, tight and push off my index finger. I bought a fixed needle organizer from Jimmy Beans Wool, and it’s just ok. I have the same case from knit picks but for my crochet hooks and I keep my Chiaogoo case open inside the faux leather case. (JBW also bought out Madelinetosh so they don’t have that case anymore.)

Enjoyed the episode! I’m also a Chiagoo fan and use their interchangeable needles. I love DPNs too for socks. Since I always use 2.5mm DPNs on my socks I did splurge on a set of Signature DPNs. I do have to be careful with them though because I also push the needle with my index finger. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m up in Northern Ohio. I didn’t realize that Tuft Woolens is an Ohio based company!
