Those houses actually remind me of the cabins that were near the road to Allison near Sentinel. Of course my house in Sentinel was a double wide trailer near the creek. You want to talk about a nice view of trains every night, hooo man I miss that view.

@Southern Alberta Rail There used to be an awesome abandoned building there. If you google the Easy Kootenay Power Plant you can see it. To us kids it was a spooky giant abandoned castle. Lots of adventures in there. Shame it's gone, it was cool to look at.

Great work as always. At about 1:55 I noticed your backdrop has a dirt road that goes off into the distance. It’s something I look for because they’re hard to do well. If you painted that yourself, bravo my friend. Some try and don’t pull it off as well.

I use BLMA trucks Vincent. You could use any metal wheels with a .537 or .540 axle length to replace the plastic. Have a look at Tangent wheels. They are really nice.

Great update Grant, you make it all look so easy - I only wish my scenery looked half as good as yours! Do you have a helix on the layout or is it a long run to get from lower level to upper (and vice versa)? Thanks again for the update. - Steve

Thanks Steve. Not really a helix in the traditional sense... It's a long climb between levels with track the popping through the back drop on the last bit of lower level , hiding for 30 feet and popping back out on a transition level which then becomes the upper level. I think a video may be in order to explain how it works. Cheers. -grant
