HELL YEAH! I’m so glad you caught one that day, we went up stream and I was able to catch my one fish of the day too! Gotta wait for the creek to drop to hit it just as hard again

Love the vids!!! I finally got my first great lakes "steelhead" out of probably the most well known Ontario trib last weekend after 6 or more skunkin trips at different times of fall/winter/spring on the beads on one of my center pins. Definitely my favorite rod and reel to fight any fish with!!!! Glad you stuck it out!

Only went once this year I have a 7 hour drive to get there. Wasn't the greatest trip. Tons of guys fishing and lifting. Gets harder every year I'm 66 and not healthy. Love this channel. No skunking.

Was at the big trib last weekend on Sunday the 10th...when the wind and snow were flying throughout the day, water was high but turbidity wasn't bad. I was farther downstream than you on Rez land...only hooked up to 1 steelie, was fresh but didn't land him. I did land a carp on the pin however...first time hooking a carp with a 8mm bead. Didn't realize carp were interested in beads lol. I guess being bottom feeders carp will eat just about anything. I'm on the fence on whether it was a skunk-free trip for me though. Glad you landed yours!

thanks man ✌️carp on the pin - i'd say no skunkin - got a few big carp on sacks over the years myself

Nice. Avoid the skunking. Love it when the wind whistles through the line while battling a nice fish 🎉

Love the color of that creek. Almost always like that being bigger. Do you think with the very mild winter we've had that the spawn and run is near over?
@BillMikesAnglingAdventures7 ай бұрын
a lot of them already spawned but there's always a few late spawners but the drop backs should be good on the larger steams til end of April at least

Good video as always, figured the 😺 would have more action. Went out the other day had a pretty decent day landed 6 real ones and couldn’t keep smolts off if I used bait. Jigging plastics prevailed. Nice to get some fresher spring fish.

It’s always more difficult fishing the big creek in windy conditions and also stained water. Seems that the fish could be anywhere holding. Some days the fish come fast and furious and some days like today, you have to pray and hope for one landed. You humble yourself. Glad it worked out and made it happen.
@BillMikesAnglingAdventures7 ай бұрын
thanks Adrian - your right in those conditions fish could be holding anywhere even a few feet in front of you - i'm happy anytime i get at least 1

@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures I was at Burt dam with Michael on Friday. Fished at the dam by ourselves. Water was flowing good, 385 cfs. Michael lost 5 fish in the fast current and I landed 2 steelhead, 2 browns and 2 suckers. Not a bad day.
@BillMikesAnglingAdventures7 ай бұрын
not bad at all - I'd take it

Love your vids man. You guys rock! Does the big creek fish well into April? In some Lake Erie tribs, the suckers are starting to far outnumber the steelies.

Been at Burt n Niagara at 22 degrees n snow ing so weather not problem what u think better fishing weather this week or next ???

We had a 50 hookup day in Ohio last week. PA has been overcrowded and very few fish. Gonna go back to Ohio this week and try another trib in the snow

I definitely have had a better year by a mile this then in yrs past, as evidenced that I actually have steelhead videos this yr, lol, but I've by no means had a killer day, closest thing i had was a day i hooked 5 steelhead and a brown, but like you said its real fishing.
