Thanks for the video. What do you think of Domain-Coffers? Leyline acts like another Urborg.. Kinda crazy to think about it but I think it can be very strong.

I made a NEW graveyard deck when Murders dropped. It is waaaaaay more FUN than the meta Goryo and can win Turn 2 and beyond !!!

Stone of Erech tech in Murktide board. For Yawg I presume. Against Goryos it seems your other ~3 options are just better yeah?

resullts of the domain decks do not matter. the fact that after the ban list the threat of Draco combo has warped the format and is now the gatekeeper. it defines what decks are playable depending on how they can deal with the combo or go over the top of them. also it does not matter if the Draco combo stops being popular due to the fact that it can create to many nongames so easily for such little investment.

Agreed. Pick your Poison might seem "great" that a common is making such a splash, but it's single handedly off this combination of cards. You can see paralells to other games where just because something is answerable, doesn't mean it isn't a bad thing in the format.

a whole two stock meta decklists run the combo, not quite warping. I’m guessing you came to this conclusion through some combination of your magic online leagues and youtube videos and no real data

Zoo, scam, rhinos, murktide showing up in some decent results. To say its not warping though isn't quite true. Decks are splashing green for pick your poison, and both Nature's Claim and Force of Vigor have dropped off significantly. Sheoldred's edict has jumped in usage. The combo isn't unbeatable. It just feels far too splashable and forced a change to the way decks play. It's just another bar that makes new decks harder to enter, or they just start building with those 12 cards.

@@ZeraLord pick your poison doesnt read “destroy target leyline of the guild pact”those are generally good sideboard cards effective in many matchups.

@@lewisc3365 There are decks literally mainboarding it, including some of the ones Mr Mengucci is showcasing. And you are right, it doesn't say that. It say destroy a leyline binding, LotG, Scion of Draco, Urza's Saga, and several other modern staples. You would have an easier time finding a deck where the card is dead, which is why the card is seeing so much play.

Im a huge yawg optimist always but i think yawg just sucks RN lol. So bad agaisnt the domain decks, mediocre against Goryos, and most of the matchups yawg really farms (murktide, hammer) are just totally pushed out. It has had super shitty results lately, i think its def pushed out of top 5 until zoo disappears, and even then it seems like goryos is here to stay, which also seems to be very good against yawg

Hasbro is doing everything in its power to destroy Magic. Beyond the set fatigue, and the obvious money grab set collabs, the only set that’s getting any attention is Commander. I love modern but it’s obvious that Hasbro doesn’t.
