Can't believe we've finished First Law! Trying to work out whether First Law and RotE are so good because I read them with you, or whether they really are that good 😂 also, I was waiting for you to say Flintlock fantasy for the whole video lol

I didn’t even realize that I never corrected myself with the right term but when I was editing the video I *still* couldn’t remember the name Flintlock 😂

So many great sounding books! I recently read the Caraval trilogy by Stephanie Garber and it was a lot of fun so I'm looking forward to getting in Once Upon a Broke Heart at some point. I'm not a huge romance reader but I really liked Beach Read, Emily Henry is definitely an author I'll pick up again when I'm in the mood for a romance. You're really making me want to read Spells for Forgetting!

Yess Stephanie Garber is a lot of fun so far, I would probably pick up Caraval in the future too ☺️ also if you do decide to pick up Spells for Forgetting I hope you enjoy it!! It’s one of those books where it just felt so perfect for me it makes it harder to tell whether it will be widely appealing or if it was just for me 😂

What an exciting wrap-up!! I will tackle Sharp Ends this month and then hopefully follow in your footsteps and binge the final trilogy back to back as well. Love to hear it ended so strong for you!! And oooh, I am intrigued by Spells for Forgetting. It always sounded right up my alley, but the middling reviews made me a bit wary. I trust your tastes though, so it goes back on the priority list! Hope April treats you well, happy reading 🥰

I think you will have a very hard time taking a long break between Age of Madness books! They just make you want to come right back for more haha 😍 also fingers crossed that Spells for Forgetting is your style because I would love to see you love it!

I own the first two First Law books but for some reason I am so intimidated by them. I know they are so loved but I have a mental block - hoping I can pick them up and love them soon. Glad you had such wins with his books!

I will say that The Blade Itself starts the series off slow, but if you somewhat enjoy it and want to continue, Before They Are Hanged is just so phenomenal that it makes it well worth it!!

Maybe similar to Never Whistle at Night: try Buffalo is the New Buffalo if you haven’t read it yet. It’s a collections of Indigenous speculative fiction short stories by Chelsea Vowel. Some of them have certainly stuck with me!

If you haven’t read Abby Jimenez yet, I would highly recommend trying one of her more recent releases. Just for the Summer came out in April and I read that book so quickly and gave it 5 ⭐️. She writes on a level similar to Emily Henry and also has her characters dealing with lots of things outside of the romance.
