Love listening to how your baritone voice is developing. Lovely clean lyrical tone and colour. I'm a baritone, and I remember that when my voice started to deepen my transition wasn't do smooth. My early baritone voice was a disaster. Some say it still is. 😂 I also think a KZbin Q&A would be great. Your influences and heroes in and outside of classical, and your hopes for the future. Either way, good luck for the future. You have an amazing talent, and I'll look forward to hearing more.

Aksel, I like your voice every time more. Continuing like this one day maybe you will become a great baritone. It has already happened in the past ... I think of Peter Schreier who was a superb boy contralto in the Dresdner Kreuzchor and then he became a great tenor. I wish you the same luck because you deserve it. A big greeting and encouragement from Italy! - Federico Faido

What is your range currently? I'm performing the English version O Holy Night at a concert in December and the music I have only goes up as high as G4.

Finally found the original poem. It's a clever little poem, I wonder if the use of yngling changing to unge mand is from callow youth to manhood with the vision of the smiling eyes somehow the moment of erotic knowledge - hence the God help you young man. A lovely song and a very knowing smile from Aksel at the end!

Excellent job. I'd question some of the German translation however, at least from, what I'm hearing. I hope you continue on and don't get burned out. I've seen that happen with young singers. That's coming from a former music ed/vocal major, who did get burned out. I still play piano, home organ, theatre organ and accordion though. :-) All my best to you and always remember to take care of yourself and your voice.
@AkselRykkvin6 жыл бұрын
I came across the Schumann version in German, and I think it missed the point about the glowing warm cheeks of the young man which melts the ice. Sorry to hear you are not singing anymore. I feel I have a good balance at the moment, certainly less pressure than when I was a soprano.
