I'm SO glad you loved Lydia Bennet! and I love the comparison you did with The Other Bennet Sister??? so brilliant - both are punished for being TOO much of what society supposedly wanted of women in 2 opposite directions: Mary = proper, religious, studious and Lydia = charming, cheerful, naive (sort of)

It really is! It has some aspects written in play form and introduces characters like they are cast list. It is so great!

Completely agree with your takes on The Wren, The Wren and And Then She Fell. The Wren fell flat for me, unfortunately. And Then She Fell was an enjoyable read which addresses important topics.

I am glad you agree!! I haven't heard many middling reviews of The Wren, The Wren and it's good to know I'm not the only one

8 Lives I found very engaging. I would have liked to have even more time spent on a few of the time periods during Mrs. Mook’s life because they were harrowing and fascinating. Nightbloom didn’t land perfectly for me. I wanted more interaction between the characters and less just telling me what happened. That way of storytelling takes away from the character connection for me.

@@SarahAsYouWish haha, I think we are opposite in that way. I love the stories that tell more than most people and strughked with how fastpaced 8 Lives was 😂
