Marchand hit on Bertuzzi a bad idea at a the wrong time - Tough Call Commentary

Brad Marchand hit Tyler Bertuzzi in a Brad Marchand way to end the first period of game four. I have no idea why he thought this was a good idea.

The combination of an intentionally low hit, and a slew foot, is classic Marchand. To me it's worth a game or two of suspension.

Trevor Moore did exactly same thing to Vinny Desharnais couple games ago...a penalty , but no game suspension. Pretty filthy. As an Oiler fan, Marchand should have got one game, no question.....but after all, it IS the NHL....sooooo, is anybody really shocked anymore?

The officals did not call a penalty on Marchand because the Refs can not stand with the barkking from the bench of the bruins espically with big mouth Patrick Marroon and the rest of the winning Bruins and coaches until they get there way totally unacceptable from type of behaviour whick the NHL officating has a big problem on their hands of who they want to win and this is ludricrious through out the leaque with rookie officating.

This is why Toronto ALWAYS loses. Way too much crying. Didn't see anybody cry when Bertuzzi slashes him after the whistle in the back of the legs, but of course, Bertuzzi is a real clean player or when Tavares slashed Macavoy in the face and nothing was called. The Leafs fans must have been looking at something else. Stop crying. BOTH teams are doing their share of cheap shots only the Bruins aren't crying about it.

He is above the knees and makes contact with the thighs/stomach. Hits like this along with hits to that location(such as hit checks) are not common in modern hockey, now that players hit higher, because they where helmets. It’s still a legal body check.
