Every village in South Tyrol has its own 🎶 music band and playing music together is a very important part of the social structure and the community itself. The bands are playing at all festive occasions, such as Church days, processions, district music festivals & parades. In addition to traditional concerts and parades, they fulfill many important tasks in the village. The musicians of the bands are also a visual eye candy, by wearing the local Tyrolean costumes. 🥁

The Tyrolean Brass Band Association has 303 bands in 19 music districts. There are over 15,650 active members in these bands. The South Tyrolean Brass Band Association currently organizes 211 bands with around 9,350 female and male musicians. Both associations have the goal to cultivate and spread the brass music at a high level. They also take care of the music education. They also organize a lot of events, such as national and district music festivals, concerts and competitions.
