@jeffrygagnon55066 ай бұрын
_CC_ has people paying attention, ds-1742 . . . for now. To be more precise, the NCAA and media sports networks (the ones who make the "extra-large $$$" from such phenomena) _have_ people paying attention. Because they can. But it's mostly MALES who $upport professional sports. Game attendance, TV $ubscriptions, print media, team gear purcha$e$, etc. amount to Billion$ of dollar$ each year. As to women's Bball, BRITTNEY GRINER was promoted and billed as the next coming of Jesus, and WNBA attendance enjoyed a bump . . . but not that big, and not for very long. Women's sports DON'T SELL after the _novelty_ wears off. Add to that the public knowledge that players in the WNBA are so predominantly lesbian, who would think that Caitlin Clark would be any more of a permanent draw than the aforementioned Brittney Griner, or previous/present "stars" such as Sue Bird, or Dianna Turazzi, or Brianna Stewart, or ? Before the WNBA became an aspiration for female players, I can remember watching Geno Auriemma's first NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP team - UConn '95 - a team composed of such feminine and powerful athletes as (surnames applied at the time) Jen Rizzotti, Rebecca Lobo, Jamelle Elliot, Carla Barrubi,

Been watching Paige a while, she is an amazing player. And she does set a lot of screens for their mates. Have not seen Caitlin that much, but I can see she has an edge. She looks faster, more explosive and she is great in transition with those passes. I mean, both are great, but the system each team has can affect greatly a players potential and performance. The more dynamic Iowa style favors Clarke. And the more methodical Uconn style might hinder Paige. What I mean is that the system of Uconn make look page more like a true point guard, similar to Stockton, pass first shoot later. A passing treat. While the system of Iowa make look Caitlin more like Kidd, good passer, but more of a treat in shooting. I dont know, thats what I see. Still, hard to pick one.
