What’s interesting is that Senshi is probably younger than Chilchuck. He said he’s been in the dungeon for 10 years and when he first entered it he looked to be around 13-16 years old mentally. That would put him in his mid to late 20s whereas Chilchuck is in his 30s.

He was recently rescued along with one other person from a deserted island. There were originally several survivors. The other person was responsible for fixing meals for the survivors and made what he called "Albatross Soup". After being rescued and tasting the Albatross Soup in the restaurant, he realized that what he was eating on the island was not Albatross Soup. He concludes that the only explanation is that the soup on the island was made from the other survivors. He feels guilty and shoots himself. And also one of the people who wound up "missing" was the main character's wife. Hence why the main character was so desperate to find out what albatross soup tasted like, and when he finds out why he was so overcome with guilt and self loathing that at the end/beginning of the story he immediately shoots himself

A bit of spoiler, i never watched this episode but I've read the manga, one more proof that the griffin the dwarves fought was actually a hippogryph is that it never attacks the horse that the dwarves had, infact it might have been attracted which is why it bugged the dwarves in the first place. In this world griffins are carnivorous like lions and hippogryphs are herbivores like horses.
