This is so cool man! Congrats, the T Rex looks amazing! Great job! I know for experience how frustrating can be sanding, gluiing all parts together, fixing air bubbles and etc etc etc. It really takes time. Its never about only sculpting and painting. Hey marco i love how you made this and you should do a kickstarter Edit: i think you should add foam inside the rubbersaurs to give them more of that real feel and it wont look as bad when bending some parts of the body and it would be really cool, and it would make them alot better and protect the voice box and make the rex look more bulky and stuff and would also feel bulky to,but this is just a recommendation :)

I have thought of that, but if I did, it would dampen the sound too much. The sound isn't very loud as it is and if I added more foam it would be way too quiet

I've seen some tutorials on how some people made their own vacuum molds that could work similarly to injection molds. Would it help here? Maybe?

It could help but we would have to build or buy a vacuum chamber big enough to house the molds 😅 which would be expensive and we don’t have the space 😅

Also don’t know if you’re aware but if you already have a mold and use a vacuum to cast a figure it can explode 😅😬 as the air bubbles try to escape the mold !

@@sorasart Yeah, you'd need to have space and the budget to set one up in the first place... Many of us can relate.

@@sorasart Yeah, these molds probably would explode because of that. But I recall in the videos I've seen of some sculptors using their vacuum chambers on both the liquid silicon before pouring it onto their figures, and again before the silicon started to set up and cure for the mold.

For the casting process, I would suggest either a pressure pot, or a vacuum chamber to place the molds in while casting. I have seen a few others do this and it will either shrink the bubbles to nothing, or make them so big they pop themselves. In the case with the vacuum chamber, you would place the cups into it because it can get messy when the bubbles expand. But it does give you a bubble free pore and cast afterwards.

The issue with that is a vacuum chamber is expensive and the curing time of the rubber resin means that degassing would take too long and it wouldn’t pour properly as it would have thickened too much.

What types of clay are you using? Air dry clay is very brittle and prone to cracking. Epoxy clay is the strongest. Though polymer clay could work too

Cast of iron is basically Injection Molding which is what toy companies like Mattel, Hasbro, Nanmu…. uses to make toys. In order to access Injection Molding, you need to work in a company or contact someone who own a manufacture company
