Few clarifications: Sonic the Hedgehog: the song was actually the first level “Green Hill Zone” Smash Bros: probably realized the correct game was Brawl, not Melee Megaman 2: the song was Wiley’s Fortress 1 (sort of the final dungeon of the game) is often mistaken for the main theme

I don't know. While game have interesting and funny moments, main problem with Castle Crushers that it's very long game where gameplay is very simple and it's gets old very quickly. Enemies are just damage sponges. Different weapons and characters don't help ether because they don't add new mechanics, expect shoker attack. Even DLC characters don't have unique attacks or strings. I spare many many hours in this game in coop. Hardcore mode just add 4x health. Again no new attacks. Ifwe try to compare with classic arcade beat'em ups they have funny mechanic and chaos elements while trying to give you new content every few minutes. You can go absolutly wild in this games and it will not feel like you are wasting time hiting same enemies with same attacks to just go further. I miss this stuff in Castle Crushers.

Castle crashers is one I can highly recommend. One of the true classics of couch co op. I grew up playing it with my cousin. It's a medieval fantasy themed beat em up with RPG elements, and a healthy mix of cartoonish graphics, infantile poop humor, and also blood and decapitated heads.

You know, every Kingdom Hearts game has a different version of Dearly Beloved in the main menu. It would be a blast to see you go through them and give us your impressions of what that particular game is like. But yes, that's the KH2 version. There are many more, but to this day KH2 just hits different for pretty much everybody who grew up with the series.

Not really enough to give a hint, but does make one wonder what game would use classical music in such a fashion.) - It's a smile World - God Hand (This sounds like it could appear in a whole bunch of games and not be out of place. Yet here it is in a 3D character action game.) - Morceaux - Ace Combat 3 (This sounds a whole lot like Drakengard 1. Not music you'd expect from Ace Combat in general.) - Obscure - Daiki Kasho - Gran Turismo 3 (What is this fighting game music doing in a racing game that associates itself with jazz and laidback sense of class?) - Think About It - Metropolis Street Racer (What is this, a Sonic song? Or maybe some jazzy party game? No, it's an obscure racing game.) - Wily Tower Stage 2 - Megaman Wily Wars (Not only an obscure Megaman title, but also a song that sounds nothing like Megaman let alone a Wily Stage.) Basically the theme is here to create misdirection and surprise the one trying to guess the songs.

I'd be cool to hear your thoughts on total war warhammer music Here are one of my favourites (but there are so much more!) Wrath Of Khaine (Total War: Warhammer 2 Soundtrack)- dark elves or Vermintide (Total War: Warhammer 2 Soundtrack)- skaven Or you know what? Go for "Wrath of Khaine" and "Dragonflame" (or "Widowmaker")- which is high elves theme to compare how different and yet similar these factions are (and they are pretty short). OR you can go for "Dynamic versions" of those pieces that are a bit longer. P.S. I know you sometimes make connections with the name of the piece, but these are made up for the youtube upload Creative assemby never uploaded the OST. Also in game it has a cool feature when the soundtrack slowly creeps into a different faction ost depending on how well you are doing in battle. If you are loosing - enemy soundtrack will start playing instead of yours.

This made me realise that most of the OSTs I'm most familiar with are RPGs. Overall I got 12/29 correct (not too familiar with things like Killzone or Halo, and the only CS I played was 1.6 and Source so...) Once it hit 20 I didn't remotely have a clue. Well, #23 sounded like a Rare track so I guessed DKC3 and #29 was definitely a SNES soundfont but man, that was unexpectedly rough.

I wonder how people who aren't familiair with Zeno Clash, or only superficially, would react to the soundtrack of Clash: Artifacts of Chaos with tracks like The Boy's Call, Hope, Pseudo's Theme, Titans, The Duels etc. I've seen people compare a number of that game's tracks to the OST of NieR, and that's not what most people would expect from a game where you play what looks like a humanoid knobbly carrot with a sore, nail-less thumb for a face that practices martial arts. But it's an awesome and beautiful one.

I played it and I didn't recognize this xD I think I'd determine the difficulty of songs based on playerbase but also how present the Song is and how much it is represented in popculture generally. Because CoD BO Soundtrack isn't really in your face like in the old games or like the Doom Eternal Soundtrack which has gotten its big share of recognition outside of the game and even the gaming-community. But these are just my thouts spitballing out :) And I just banged my head so hard on the Megaman 2 - Wily Theme 1 Those games have some really hard rocking Songs ... jeeez, there goes my childhood :D
