Vi har blitt invitert inn bak murene til den brasilianske bussfabrikken Marcopolo. Området er enormt, og fabrikken har kapasitet til å produsere ca. 10.000 busser i året. Iam Brazilian Marcopolo, like Embraer represents a pride of Brazilian industry and engineering present around the world, mainly Latin America, Africa and Middle East but recently have a growing presence in Asia Pacific region across of their model named "Audace 1050" and bought Volgren the australian bus builder company, has a joint venture with Tata motors from India, having a participation the MCI coach from north America and has launched their electric bus model named "attivi" and launched a subsidiary dedicated to railway business named "Marcopolo Rail"

The First non-Latin American review made for this massive bodybuilder. Marcopolo nowadays is the reference in how to make buses in South America. Impressive designs now, but many years ago they got a much much better quality building.

Yahooo😍. Caxias Do Sul. Brilliant. Magne should try driving the 8x2 bus chassis G8. What am noticing is that a lot of multi axle caches do not have rear tag axle steer in Brazil. Much like Tom's review the use of old style drum brakes. Magne, how long back was the video done 10:30 is a bus that we use in South Africa. Intercape group, the largest intercity and coach charter company in the country our troubled country. So good to see it in the factory line.

@@bussmagasinet1 When you try them there, it is the same as in south africa difference would be that the bus would be RHD and driving on left side of the road similar to UK, Malta, Cyprus basically all commonwealth countries and former UK colonies as well as Japan. What I have noticed is that since 2010 we had rear wheel steer on our tag-axles and disc braking as compared to solid tag axles in Brazil. I still find that odd even on the latest generation buses.

Very interesting and informative. I would imagine that a tandem front axles can be a maintenance nightmare in terms of alignment. Beautiful coaches just the same. I wonder if MARCOPOLO would ever attempt to try out the North American market again? Time will tell.

They are the option for double deckers, as de legal weight limit in the single front axle is just 7t here.

Would have been fun! Unfortunately, US market is not demanding many coaches each year. Marcopolo will have a hard time sell enough vehicles there

@bussmagasinet1 Next time you come, go to Curitiba where is Volvo Factory is locate. From there you can go easily to any other locations in South Brazil 🇧🇷 Joinvile is not far away from curitiba, 50 miles away to BUSSCAR BUS FACTORY
