What the heck this security analyst thinking about violating laws in child protection? These lame kids should be trained basic military training and discipline to instill patriotism and social awareness instead of just spending time in front of their CP and tablet screens. Of course, the NPAs would not want the school kids to have these trainings and lose recruits in the long term.

@-IStandCorrected- senior HS students are not young kids anymore. They should be taught discipline, basic military training and first aid, if possible, to prepare them for any emergency.

Hindi ako pabor sa mandatory ROTC program at wag na sana itong ibalik. Imbis na ROTC isabatas at ipatupad ang Grade 13 to 14 na "Military and Community Training and Service" na kung saan sasanayin at magsisilbi ang mga kabataan sa Military at Community tulad ng Arm Forces, Tactical Training, Disaster response, First Aid Training at iba pa sa loob ng Dalawang taon pagkatapos ng Senior High School at bago pumasok sa pamantasan o kolegio. Papasok lang sila sa campo o military base 4 na beses lamang sa kada linggo mula Monday to Thursday at hindi kada Sunday lang na kung saan masasagasaan ang Religious, family o personal day ng mga kabataan.

Okay yan kung matutukan talaga yung pag aaral ng military skills at talagang may hands-on sa military equipment. Ang nakakalungkot lang kasi nung kapanahunan ko ay talamak ang corruption at walang kwenta ang ROTC, SY 1996-1998. Ang tanging natutunan ko lang kasi nun ay yung magtiis na nakakababad sa araw ng kalahating araw at puro martsa lang ang ginawa at punishment exercises. Wala man lang na-iturong teorya sa military strategies o tactics. O ni pag hawak ng totoong baril at self-defense ay wala. Oo ibalik ang ROTC pero siguraduhing hindi masasayang ang oras at sana ay may matutunan naman yung estudyante na skills. Halimbawa yung Israel, South Korea, Singapore at Taiwan talagang maayos ang mandatory military training nila sa young citizens nila. Nawa, maalis na rin yung under table na padulas sa Corps Commander para lang makapasa at yung bullying at hazing ng mga officers sa trainees. Sa totoo lang hatred at hindi patriotism ang natutunan ko sa ROTC noon. Kundi hatred sa laganap na corruption at hindi makataong pagtrato (bullying & humiliation) ng mga officers sa mga trainees. Eh kung mala-PUBG, COD, Valorant at Airsoft sana ang training tiyak maraming mag-enjoy na mga kabataan dyan sa ROTC o Military Service. Palakasin ang ekonomiya, manufacturing at industrial sector (factories), science and technology. Singapore at Taiwan napaka-liit lang na mga bansa pero napaka-unlad at napalakas ng military nila. Pag malakas ang ekonomiya, science and technology mas malaki ang pondo. Kayang-kayang gumawa ng mga sariling military equipment at assets. Maganda ang pasahod at privilege sa mga servicemen (military). Mas maraming ma-engganyo na pumasok sa serbisyo. It's no surprise that this news outlet has a very limited audience. This report is extremely one-sided and deceptive, because politicians and groups of persons interviewed did not even consider the program's merits; nonetheless, the majority will still win. Unfortunately for them, they are not in control of this administration. Be as bitter as you want, but this program is extremely beneficial to our youth, not for military purposes, but mostly for discipline and patriotism. That security analyst completely missed the mark.
