The hidden deployment element is interesting. The carriage seems to borrow from cash in Cuba Libre or news in All Bridges Burning but the trap is a nice touch.

Back then, if you traveled like that, you where very rich. Regular people often where not allowed to leave, so if you could just travel and pay for it, you where a ripe target to get robbed.
