Great review, Marco. I own DRK Totenkopf and Leibstandarte and they are simply fantastic. A big time investment and semi-steep learning curve, but the Battlefield Operating System concept give the games a truly "open" feel. There are tons of fascinating decisions to be made and the tradeoffs are something you'll be ruminating about constantly. They're masterpieces and were worth it ten times over, especially with the air enhancements. The designer, Chris Fasulo, delivers great customer service and answers questions via email especially quick. That's a hugely helpful thing to have in your back pocket when ordering a big new game system and Chris' assistance really made it a no-brainer because he answered all my questions and was just great. Buy these games if you want something you'll be thinking about when you're stuck in a meeting or doing something less fun - DRK gets in your head!

Marco, good presentation. You really captured the flavor of the system. Nice close-ups of the counters.

Hi, I’m an Italian novice waregamer. I want ask you a question about Grognard Simulations. What are the characteristics of this brand (rules, aesthetics...)? It’s more difficult? In Italy is not very well know. Some products have high price. It seems to me.. “poor” in appearance. Thank you

Hello Marco. I'm Italian and I'm writing to ask you something related to Grognard Simulations wargames. I recently started studying and playing wargames, mostly solo. I wanted to ask you what characteristics this Texan company has if I'm not mistaken. Not many in Italy know it even among those who have practiced wargaming for years. What features does it have? To me it seems a bit "not very colorful" aesthetically speaking. For me at the beginning and would it be the Deathride series? Thank you.
