This review has motivated me to hunt down a copy of the remastered edition. As an aside, likening the counter sheet to a "nicely cooked rib" was brilliant! It really summed up that oddly satisfying feeling of well-cut chits practically punching themselves out of their cardboard sprue.

you missed to mention that the new infantry/WT counters have changed dramatically in terms of information as the new edition used a more streamlined proficiency system that plays faster and easier than the 1st edition

Great video as always. I'd like to add a few opinions that may differ slightly to your own. Good: The rule book. It's formatted a bit better. The proficiency/morale rules have been tided up and are less cumbersome. This has changed the number of values having to be displayed on the counters and streamlined the rules somewhat. Also the new rulebook contains a glossary/index at the back which is helpful (1st ed. had no index). The training scenario in the new edition is a better introduction to the game and the 2 extra scenarios are welcomed. There have also been slight adjustments and additions to some scenarios but overall there is not much of a change here. A very nice improvement was including faux unit values on the decoy counters. This made moving a concealed decoy easier becasue if the concealment counter that is stacked on top moves slightly it is now still not obviously a decoy below. Indifferent: I personally preferred the art style on the 1st edition maps. However I believe they caused line-of-sight issues for some. This wasn't an issue for me as I use a laser line for los. The new maps do have their terrain displayed in a cleaner fashion (a building or wood now doesn't bleed slightly in to an adjoining hex). Bad (well not quite bad but definitely not as good): Thicker counters. Yes bad. The 1st ed. counters were on perfectly fine cardstock. The 2nd edition counters are a couple of mm thicker. The problem is that when I used my counter cutter to round the edges (2.5 OL Radius Deluxe) the new 2nd ed. counters would sometimes scuff the edge of the counter, resulting in a less clean finish than the first ed. ones. (I have since used the cutter on other games counters and they turned out great so the cutter isn't blunt or damaged). I prefer the thin cardstock of the 1st edition maps. I've found that the 2nd edition maps can warp quite easily. Nothing a gentle back-bending can't resolve however this isn't an issue with the 1st ed.

They have a Kickstarter up for The Epic Battle Pack. There are bundles with the remastered and expansions.
