VLOG: Re-learning how to play Band of Brothers

It's been a long time since I've played and the rules have just gone right out the window. I think it's time to get this back to the table! This is just me talking about what I like about the game as I re-read the rules.

Band of Brothers is terrific! So many great tactical game systems, and they're all great in their own rights; all different too. I love the artwork for BoB too, again it's different from the others. The infantry system in this game is absolutely awesome. The morale mechanic is great, the proficient firepower mechanic is great, and the casualty mechanic is great. Three mechanics that are constant for all infantry, but you can represent any and every type and caliber of troops with those three core mechanics. Brilliant.

Oh cool, I started getting back to Ghost Panzer recently, then I discovered that all my fav games were on Vassal. A big distraction! Still got it set up mid-play. It's interesting that you love the artwork. I hated it for a loooong time, now I find it okay, lol. It'll be good to follow along with your rules relearning.

Thanks so much! I liked comics when I was a kid, so maybe that where that comes from. Luckily, I think the gameplay makes up for any bad art it may have.

There is a solo method for the decoy units in the version 2.2 rulebook-section 66.0.

Great teaching video! I just discovered your channel and am really enjoying it. I hadn't heard of GMT's Panzer - I just looked it up. That looks intense. I'm not sure if you've done a Ghost Panzer play-though yet or not but I sure hope you have.
