Hearing this photographer makes me so happy and hopeful that I too can capture good travel photos some day. More intuitive than technical. Relies more on natural light than setting them up with artificial lights and filters and what not. Really great !!!

Absolutely outstanding photography! Real eye opening to me. I've tried to find photo books from Robert Bob Holmes and can't find anything on amazon and also nothing on his website. I'd really love to get a book of his travel photos.

+Time.Captured. I would too! I've illustrated numerous books and my photographs have been in many others including the "Day in the Life" series but nothing on just my travel stuff. I've always kept a low profile and hate self promotion which I think is a British trait but it doesn't help attracting publishers unfortunately. Nevertheless thanks so much for your interest. Bob

"Getting in the zone" - I've been working on that for quiet some time...still trying to figure it out...But I know one thing for sure. You need to forget about the camera...and yourself.

you have to just do it. become one with what is around you. you can't force it. take a walk and observe more. developing an eye takes time and dedication. take a million pictures and eventually it should start to click if you have any skill. this guy is true master. he didn't get there on day one. never stop learning.
