The last thing you want to happen when you’re on the German Autobahn with no speed limit and hundreds of big trucks left and right of you! A freaking SNOWSTORM! Have you ever been in a situation like that? What would you have done? Let me know guys

I have been in this situation but not with high traffic and intense snow like that.😳 Your helmet starts fogging, sticking snow to your visor. Horrible. That pull off though...I would have made camp on the other side of the guard rails😄in the trees. I hate hotels, but in this situation it would work🤣

Last year we went to a 2 week trip in the France Alps, on the road going back home everything was going good untill my bike stopped working near paris on the freeway all sudden. My friend drove back and helped start the bike, but when it started my radiator was leaking big drops. We agreed driving further and stopped at the next gas station to look if it was ok. Then we drove further and it was really dark and it start hailing and raining so hard. I had a dark visor there were no lights and we were surrounded by trucks and fast going cars. We already drove 800km that day and we needed like 400 more that moment. So we were tired and were determined to get home. It was the scariest ride ever.

I was caught in freezing rain in the mountains one time. Luckily I didn’t have to worry about the traffic like you did. Everything was frozen, visor, hands and road. I found a covered spot and pulled over. I had to thaw out my hands on the engine. Luckily it (freezing rain) didn’t last for too long and I was able to get underway again after a while. Glad you made it off the autobahn safely!

Don't even be near 'em. The quality of semi-truck drivers has gone down, at least in America, over the last decade. They just jump out into traffic and cut people off willie nillie. They're fast becoming a hazard.

Congrats Marc, you did really well staying upright in that snow, and you were spot on with your decision to find accommodation for the night. I was a bit ( a lot ) worried when you were alongside the trucks because you were in their blind spot s few times. Just a tip from an old truck driver, you may already know this one. If you can’t see the driver in “HIS” mirror then your in his blind spot and he can’t see you . Look forward to your next video “thanks”🤙

Hey Marc, I just had the same problem with the speedometer on my Dominator a couple days ago. In the end it turned out the plastic gear thats picking up the rotation from the wheel hub was worn down and needed replacement. I think that's the case here as well. Stay safe!

@@MarcTravels yeah, my guess as well. Its quite common for Honda Bikes of the era that the little plastic gear breaks. But you should service the cable as well. The broken Plastic Gear is often worn out because the cable is a little to hard to rotate.

Hey Marc, the Honda brought you home. Some noises and other small things here and there, but not bad for its age. Welcome home, greetings Jan

I really enjoyed the realism of your journey. It looked tough and scary at times but that can be the real world of riding. I live in North West Wisconsin and can definitely relate to snow, poor riding conditions, and being cold. Glad you survived it unscathed. Take care!

Well done. It amazes me how fast people in cars still drive so fast in those conditions. 🇬🇧
