It's been a weird couple of years for me. I lost my father to an overdose a couple of years ago and for a long time, I was in in a very dark place. Since my father's passing, several of my loved ones have been in life changing accidents, but recently I've found acceptance In everything that has happened and have come out the other side a lot stronger.
I am grateful for everything I have; and I have learnt from all the mistakes I have witnessed and made myself.
I encourage you to look past the pain, love and follow your dreams, It's worth it!

I was a huge fan of Adrian. His vision, his voice, his lyrics. They were always a huge part of Northlane for me. Seeing the other audition, I was afraid that they were going to fade into the metalcore scene as just another band with a screamer. But that's not what Northlane is about. And I can honestly say that I believe that you have the ability to make them grow so much more as a band. All that I ask is just keep the same deeper lyrical themes that Northlane has been known for from Adrian. As long as you do that, I think you are the perfect choice for this band. Thank you, for being different. And thank you for making an utterly terrible breakup become a new door for one of my favorite bands

i found out about northlane about 2 weeks ago, there in my top favourite now. not being an old fan i can tell you from a clean slate. your vocals/lyrics/energy fit this song perfectly. it takes alot of balls to do what youve done and gotten to where you are. to know you face ridicule and possible rejection, over coming that.. that was the biggest accomplishment. getting picked was just a no brainer, i would go as far to say the band was fortunate to get you. the lose of a singer can mean the end of a band, your presence doesnt just put them on life support, your like the there bionic suit.. faster, strong ... beep boop. look forward to future stuff!

This guy is incredible in my opinion, he almost brings a letlive vibe to it with some similarities to Jason especially in the way of passion, and yet still completely captures it and makes it his own to become the "new northlane" haha. If the rumours are true and he is the new front man, they made an outstanding choice. No one will ever replace Adrian, but I certainly I look forward to hearing everything new and old with him leading the way.

It seems like the only thing people really cared about from Adrian (and Northlane) were his, admittedly incredible, screams and that Northlane made "some fucking heavy shit" to go along with them. But if you listen to Adrian's lyrical content and then compare it to, say, Marcus and Aeden, it's very clear that Marcus is a better fit for what Northlane's image is. The cleans are 1000x better than Adrian's (and Aeden's, though I am a fan of Aeden and his strained cleans) and the ability to add at least a bit of harsh vocals will make their music so diverse. The second I finished listening to Aeden's rendition of Singularity, it was obvious why he didn't get picked. Just listen to the lyrics. I really enjoyed his rendition (and the lyrics), but the lyrics are so hopeless and bleak. Possibly a bit too self-centered as well. That's NOT a problem, imo. I love that kind of shit and it's still honest in its own way, but that's also not at all what Northlane projects in their music. Nothing against Aeden at all. He was actually my pick for the new vocalist based on the initial covers. But it's clear through his lyrics that he and Northlane are probably on a different wavelength philosophically. I respect Northlane for not deciding strictly based on sound. And it wasn't Adrian that made Northlane unique, for those who argue that point. It has always been the incredible writing of their instrumentalists *coughnicpettersencough*. If Adrian was partnered with other sub-par musicians, this would be a sub-par band. I'm pumped if Marcus is the new vocalist. I WILL miss Adrian, no doubt. But I don't think anyone is going to replicate "his" Northlane well, so I respect that they are deciding to take a different approach.

I agree 100% with what you said. I also think this guy has incredible vocal talent, that goes for his cleans and screams. Trust me when I say he's holding back a lot of his screamed talent, you can hear bits and pieces of it in his Dream Awake rendition. People saying his "screams are weak" don't understand that there are A TON of scream techniques, and the sound they're referring to is not the screams he is entirely capable of. Listen to 3:35 in the DA cover, that's a really small section where he uses a very different, more harsher mid technique. Not to mention this guy has excellent vibrato and control, as well as a high vocal range.
