I am excited to see how this season unfolds, even more than usual. Yes I'm huge ND fan and supporter, but I really feel even more than in recent years the team is in a good spot to compete and win alot. I just feel a sense of maturity with this group that will be crucial during late season grind

This is not new. Everybody and their momma has a playoff so stop acting like it will mess things up. Maybe you guys need to ask other Divisions how they been doing it for decades. Jim Tressel was winning National Championships in Division II with a playoff system before he became Ohio State's head coach. Again this isn't new. It is for Division I but stull not new. Money and money from bowl games have kept Division I without a playoff for decades. I just want to start seeing these Southern schools having to play in cold weather lol
