When he came into the league in 2014, I was a fan right away. As a short pitcher (at the time), he was my favourite player. I loved his fiery passion for the game and the energy his power pitching (when he was a rookie) brought to the team. When watching this video it brought back so many memories from watching his starts. When he came back from his ACL injury in 2015, I was shocked. Most people don't recover that quickly, but he was back better than ever. I was at the pivotal game shown in the video against the Yankees that year, and it was so memorable seeing the whole city's energy going into the Postseason as well as how electric his pitching was that year and the next. In my opinion, he received a lot of flack (like Bautista) for his personality and leadership but no one could deny how much he loved the city and the team. It's a real shame that his time here had to end so horribly as I felt like he deserved much better. I honestly thought he would stick around till the end of the rebuild to mentor the pitchers, but hopefully things will get better for him and the Jays soon!

Well said - if the Mets somehow sneak in with a wild card I hope Stroman takes them far.
