As someone who’s self harmed in the past, I would’ve reacted the same way. When you’re in that state of mind you don’t think anyone really cares about you or could ever possibly love you. Of course she can be a bitch and super annoying but this scene shows she’s human and can be self destructive like anyone else. She’s still a kid. Both did things they shouldn’t. Like if I was Marcus in this situation I wouldn’t have left because I know she doesn’t even mean anything she’s saying.

I don't understand why people are mad only at Ginny in this scene. Yeah, she can be annoying and kind of a brat, but I don't think it's all her fault. She's messed up as a result of the terrible way she grew up in, which was Georgia's fault and Zion's as well. She constantly moves around, has no home, no friends, a complicated family situation. She finally starts to find her place and then something has to unravel. It's hella frustrating when all you ever get is lies. So she self harms because she's mentally in pain. She was upset at that moment and we all knew she didn't meant it cause she hurried to apologize to him. One of the thing that most annoy me is how most people are ready to cut Marcus slack because he's attractive. He's just as flawed as Ginny. He's also kind of a brat, he repeatedly tried to get with Ginny although he knew she was in a relationship and she asked him not to pursue a relationship with her, he was a complicated ass to her in the beginning of the show, and he hurts her feeling just as much as she hurts his. And in this scene, he saw what she was doing, he knew she wasn't stable or okay , he told her that himself later on, yet still he chose to confuse her even more by telling her he loves her. I understand both sides, but seriously, cut her some slack too.

In this scene I think she’s also mad at him because she loves him but he’s never shown before that he wants a serious relationship. If she were to get together with him then it could ruin everything for her and he might not even be faithful to her; so it would have all been for nothing and ultimately she would loose everything.

I don’t hate Ginny. I think she’s going through a lot, because Georgia is unstable and Georgia’s the reason that Ginny never has a stable childhood, which keeps getting her to move away more rather than staying, which becomes unhealthy for Ginny, because all she wants is to have a stable life, without her mother making rash decisions. Georgia is the one who’s messed up, because she never went for professional help, never take any responsibilities for her own actions, and more importantly she is always controlling. I mean, Georgia has no absolute right to tell Ginny who she can or cannot love. As I keep seeing more of Ginny, I think the reason why she was with Hunter, because she wasn’t sure if she was in love with Marcus, but then she realized that she does love Marcus as she sees her Dad’s, Zion, relationship with Georgia. I think Ginny is trying to figure out her feelings about Marcus, but didn’t want to tell her friends, because she didn’t want to hurt them. I think it shows that Ginny is a good person, who is trying to find where ends can meet.

I don't think Ginny's ungrateful or annoying, I think she's finally fed up with secret keeping from her mom now that she's found a place that she wants to call home for herself. She didn't know about her mom's family, or that her aunt only came in town to get dirt on Georgia for money, and since she doesn't know she's going to make assumptions. I feel like people forget that Ginny's used to being more of the adult in this mother and daughter relationship. And then there's all these years of frustrated balled up feelings while she's trying to remain calm and keep them in, eventually it all exploded at one point of another. She needed more than a lecture from a parent or an understanding friend at this point, which is why I'm glad she eventually told a parent about her harming herself so that she could get help. Then there's the fact that she's a teen transitioning in the world, making friends, falling in love, having sexual experiences for the first time, wrap this altogether and you get a powder keg.

Her character aggravates me. People always say “well she goes through alot” and its like well yeah everyone does but the way she makes everyone seem like their the issue and she’s not is annoying. Her mom tries to protect her from the family who molested her, she don’t listen. Georgia again to give Ginny the life she couldn’t have & tries to make sure she doesn’t make the same mistakes she did. When Abby needed help because her parents were divorcing and Ginny had the nerve to cut her off at the table was rude as well. I can go on🤦🏽‍♀️😭

In scenes like these she’s a good actress I just wish the show was written better and that her character wasn’t like so annoying sometimes but for the people who got mad at her in these scene you don’t get it. She was gonna hurt herself and then she got caught off guard and wanted to push Marcus away so she wouldn’t admit what she was doing. Selfharm can be very secretive and addictive and you’ll destroy anything as long as no one knows or stops you. It’s so isolating so I feel for her in this scene

I can tell some people in these comments that relate to her have hurt the wrong people knowingly or unknowingly and don't care because it's about themselves. Life is hard yes I get that. But don't last out upon others because of your own hurt. It's wrong there's NO excuse for it. There can be UNDERSTANDING but still there's NO EXCUSE. Think about it.
