Don't forget the original version if you haven't heard it already: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWXMhaieg91gY7M Hope you enjoy! The full album mix will be uploaded on its release - 15th of November. I'm still in two minds whether or not to do a KZbin premiere so we can chat and do a Q&A type thing, or just upload it like a regular video. Alot of people say they don't like premieres so much, notification issues and the like. Which would you prefer?
@Cattato5 жыл бұрын
q&a would be cool

I'd totally love a premiere/Q-A type of an event! But it's totally up to you in the end, Marcus. Whatever works best for you and your schedule. Even a delayed Q-A would still be awesome. :) Random thought: you might consider contacting the folks at EquestriaDaily.com. If they're able to setup a site post to coordinate with the album release (esp. if you decide to host a chat), that'd be a good way to drive more traffic! :)

It's like hearing it in color for the first time. The original was moving and effective like a greyscale movie, but the richness of the sound in the remaster is absolutely captivating. I need this album more than I need my next breath

An interesting way of putting it, but I may just agree. While the original touched me, mainly because of an animation based on it, this remake really got to me. Didn't really have to think of the story, it just hit me.

I remember the original so well. This really stayed true to it, while making the quality so much better. Love this so much. Wonderful job.

That little "jump off" triplet at the beginning is still one of my favorite examples of musical storytelling ever. I love how you made the first "flight" more gentle and tentative, restrained before jumping into the sweeping grandeur of the full instrumentation. This song has always painted a wonderfully visual "film" in my mind. I wish I had the time, skill, or resources to make it a reality.

I cried while listening to this. The original version saved me from so much and was a song I used to escape, but this makes me see and feel the progress I have made and the progress I’m going to make. So thank you, Marcus, thank you so much for you're amazing music

I remember discovering Evening Star so many years ago. It was some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard. And to this day it still is. I've loved every second listening to your music throughout the years and look forward to even more beautiful sounds. Wonderful music Marcus Warner

I remember evening star as well. Good music just as Marcus Warner’s music as well. I’ve thrown together a playlist for grand flying machines from evening star and I’ve kinda slowly thrown together a playlist of Marcus’s music as well. They both make such enjoyable music and I’m glad to have found em!

The ending is perfection; words are insufficient to describe the satisfaction I feel when I hear the ending of the piece. It's akin to the feeling when something just hits right. I'd love to see sheet music released for this music, if that would ever happen.

Goodie mine, I remember the first time I've ever listened to your music like it was yesterday. The first ever piece I heard was "Octavia" , and it captured my attention immediately. I went to your channel, listened to more songs - loving all of them. But, the one I have listened to the most out of all of them must have been "First flight". I can vividly recall how I kept going back to it and simply listening. Listening, and imagining Scootaloo experiencing precisely that - her first flight. Back then, I could feel myself lift up from the ground with her and soar through the skies alongside the orange pegasus - feeling free from heavier thoughts. What I can say now is that this frankly fantastic recomposition has made me feel the same once again - something that has been quite alien to me for some time now. Thank you, and I truly hope you won't lose the spark needed to create such compositions.

This was one of the first songs I ever heard from you. It was a masterpiece then, and now it's got so many more depths and layers to it. To say I feel like I'm flying above the beauty of the world is a gross understatement. If I ever climb a mountain, I want this to be the song I hear when I reach the top and behold the world below. Thank you for bringing back my love of uplifting instrumental.
@PredictedCyborg4 жыл бұрын
Listening to this today and for the first time I'm hearing a different story, one that resonates with my heart right now. I do see a pegasus being taught to use her wings, having been thrown into the pony world from elsewhere, unsteady and unsure but the other pegasus with her teaches her to fly. Basic instruction... But she lands after that lesson and thinks back to the last time she felt that free, a time she was able to defy the laws of nature in her natural form and fly with a god before that was all taken from her and she lost that freedom she'd once been given... and without thinking she launches again and lets herself fly freely again. It's all so natural, so right, she's free to fly again.

I can see us eating hand pounded mochi in Japan, and I can see us kissing in front of the Eiffel Tower, I can see us climbing Kilimanjaro, and I can see us marveling at the pyramids. I can see us walking along the Great Wall of China, and eating street food in Beijing of course! ;) I can see us marveling at the beauty of St Peters Basilica, and looking down over the Colosseum! We are watching the 2030 Olympics, and I can see us gazing down over Athens from the Parthenon. We are catching puffins in Iceland, and we are watching the sunset at Rio de Janeiro. And we are snow skiing in in Aspen. I cant wait, and I'm ready!!!!
