Sidonie and I originally recorded this song back in 2013, when we were both in sixth form college together. I was still fairly new to music production back then and have been wanting to rewrite it again for a while now. A lot of fond memories associated with this piece - memories of late summer, of wheat fields in the sunset, of home.
Music: Marcus Warner
Vocals: Sidonie Bishop

Lyrics:
Across the distant worlds, far off in the sky
I can hear your calling voice, when the planets come sailing by
The nights all sound the same, clouds drifting away
The ocean sings my name, but my heart aches every day
'Cause when we ran across the hills in the breeze
You gave me a gentle smile
And when we lay under the shade of the trees
We were with the world for a little while
In times of loneliness, they say you should be strong
But I can't live like this when the evenings are so long
Life around me always grows, like flowers in the spring
Yet I ignore everything it shows, and the changes it may bring
'Cause when we ran across the hills in the breeze
You gave me a gentle smile
And when we lay under the shade of the trees
We were with the world for a little while
