Yes! That looks so pretty when it's sprinkled on top. And it's yummy, too.

How often do you make banana pudding? And how do you make yours? 🍌My mom used to make her pudding from scratch on the stovetop, so I feel a little lazy about my version, but it is OH-SO-GOOD!

Only for holidays and reunions, mom made her custard from scratch too 🙂
@leannegoddard49897 ай бұрын
My mom did too with meringue on top. The recipe is on the Nilla wafers box but this is the best no cook version.
@denisehamernik80610 ай бұрын
Yes! My mom made it from scratch too! She also made it with sliced peaches instead of bananas and it is also delicious. Now I’m also going to make the peach version adding the cream cheese to it as well! 😊 Give it a try, I’m sure you’ll love it. Make a quickie recipe and make it in a pie plate! She did that too 😊❤

My son's birthday is coming up and this is what he requested instead of a cake. So I'm so happy your showing this because I've never made it before. It looks really retro, I love it!
@marcyinspired144210 ай бұрын
It's an oldie but a goodie. How cute that your son requested it for his birthday. I have a nephew who always requests pumpkin pie instead of birthday cake. If it were me, I would use the words, "In addition to birthday cake!" Lol

🤣🤣🤣OMG, I was putting moisturizer on my face while listening to your recipe, then you said "green chili", and I mumbled "oh no" to my self, and then heard you chuckle. I sat here and laughed crazily. Either way, you got me good. As for putting green chilis in every thing, your recipes, your rules, and to each his reach. Love this recipe. Have a wonderful day Marcy, you are the best. ❤🤎💚

I just came across this video, and I love banana pudding. I usually make it between 2-4 times a year, always on Thanksgiving. I’ve always wanted to do it in a trifle bowl, but haven’t yet. The presentation is top-tier in a trifle bowl! As long as you buy enough cookies and bananas, you’ll be fine! And I leave mine in overnight to firm up. I love it at that consistency.

I make mine pretty much the same way. I always put it into a 13 x 9 dish because if it's in a dish that is too deep, you run the risk of not getting enough bananas and cookies (I use butter cookies instead). The pudding has such a thick consistency that a thinner layer is what is needed to even it all out.
@marcyinspired144210 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I've never tried it with butter cookies, but I know I'd love it. You're right about the thin layers, too.
@sandylopez804810 ай бұрын
I use the same recipe for the pudding. I also put in 9x13 with Chestmen cookies on top and bottom. When I serve it works out as a single serving each cookie as a serving. You can sprinkle the bananas with Fruit Fresh and they dont turn brown as fast. ❤😊
@marcyinspired144210 ай бұрын
Thanks for the tip. I forget about Fruit Fresh, but you're absolutely right. Using a Chestmen cookie as a serving guide is also brilliant, if you have discipline. (I need to work on that.)

Looks Great!!! How do you think your recipe would fit into a 13" x 9" baking dish? Would I need to increase the amounts or use the same as in video? I will be serving about 10 medium to large servings. I have made many peach cobblers from your previous recipe and the group that I make them for love them.

Yum! I’ve a similar one with NO bananas, use chocolate pudding mixed with 1/2 large cool whip & that’s layered with remaining cool whip, cream cheese creamed w/powdered sugar. Layer the two “colors” & try not to eat it all in 1 sitting ;). However, this banana recipe is wonderful! You could also garnish with fresh blueberries 🫐
@Someone-vn9ce4 күн бұрын
Thanks for a banana pudding recipe that includes cream cheese; I have never tried it that way! Can I substitute evaporated milk for the sweetened condensed milk to make it a little less sweet or would that not be creamy enough? Thanks!
