This is the biggest seller the last quarter in Rwanda. I also bought one, sold my 2016 toyota RAV4 to get this. And judging by this review. You couldn’t be more wrong. Consumption is better, they are offering good warranty, cheaper than the competitors, it smells new and good, turns eyes with the best looks. Hoping better reviewers review and tell the truth.

I drove it a week ago, fisrt Chinese car ever, T5 EVO in Slovenia. My eyes got bigger every minute watching your reviewand I wondered if I was driving the same car. Some of your comments like "stinks" are not sirious. I have just one complain, entertainment, and because of that, I would'nt buy it, I like good music, sound and other things. I'm waiting now to model 2025, seller says this will be solved...

Actually I'm dead serious. It stinks like a Hyundai/KIA 10 years ago, when they used some weird glue for the plastics. It was terrible, especially on warmer days. This is the worst Chinese car I've driven in recent years. Having said that I realise it's way better than something like the Zhidou D2S ;)

I'm not saying there are cheaper alternatives other than Chinese cars. I'm saying that most Chinese brands aren't as good as their more expensive European, Japanese and Korean competitors. And 10k euro is what would sway me towards KIA or Hyundai, where at least everything works correctly.

Your question wasn't answered. The reply to your question gives out the bias the reviewer has towards Chinese cars. In reality sales of German and Japanese cars are now falling worldwide with VW, Stellantis, Honda etc closing factories and consumers choosing Better value Chinese options.

@@MarekDrivesENG You are wrong about "everything works correctly". I know of many people that have lots of problems with the engines, having their new vehicles spend months in the dealership service. Any turbo diesel with DPF/EGR or petrol with direct injection with EGR will eventually end up in the service with serious problems if not driven within the perfect conditions. Turbo diesels can't be driven in urban environment exclusively, they HAVE TO be driven on the highway at least once a week for 20-30 minutes at higher speeds for the DPF to clean itself. Otherwise it will get clogged, on a new car, and the owner will need a new DPF (which may or may not be replaced under warranty, but how many times)? These engines also have lots of problems with their injectors. Both of these problems are present on the KIA/Hyundai engines. Speaking of petrol engines - they are not immune to air intake and valves clogging due carbon buildup cause bed the direct injection (where multipoint port injection would clean the air intake and valves). This one applies to KIA/Hyundai as well. So, not everything works as intended on KIA or Hyundai. They are not that much better than DFSK.

Dongfeng and subsidiaries have arrived where I am, but BYD, SAIC and GWM have all set up camp here, with Changan to arrive soon. It seems odd that Forthing have been allowed to sell a car that doesn't meet the European safety standards. It'll be interesting to see if any of their competitors raise a complaint. I'm hoping that all this competition results in better cars for consumers, but at the moment it seems they're all fixated on releasing crossovers and SUVS that to be honest seem a bit average?

Most likely yes, this is available here in Romania but there are too many to keep track of them. IMHO a Tucson or a Kona is way better compared to this one and it my default go-to when talking about under 30 000euro SUVs. Also, looking forward to test drive a Bigster after they are available. Most likely the Bigster will be a better option than the chinese SUVs. The lack of stop/start is a great idea, I wish all the cars would be like this. From the new cars, I think only the Elantra is stop/start free, all of the other cars that I know of have this useless tech.

It is really very strange the different way in which Chinese builders manage to place their products on the market without fulfilling the requirements for other builders. Even stranger is the silence of the latter in the face of a flagrant case of highly unfair competition and violation of standards. It is worth asking: who does this truly matter to?; what is the real objective behind this aberrant situation?; and, lastly and most importantly, who in the European commission is being corrupted so that this situation goes unpunished?

In Poland we're currently experiencing an inflow of relatively cheap Chinese cars, and these get a lot of views. Also, I'm genuinely interested how soon can they get good, while remaining affordable. This is Hyundai/KIA level from maybe 15 years ago. Today the Korean cars are much better, but also no longer as affordable. I'm test driving the Chery Omoda 5 at the moment, and that's almost on par with Hyundai/KIA (while still a fair bit cheaper), so legacy carmakers have something to worry about.
