We were on Voyager last August & the Summer House roof was shut the whole time too.
@midatravel8 ай бұрын
The pictures we saw with the roof open was superb so it seems such a waste that they are not using it. Would be good to know the reason why. Thanks for letting us know because it seems it is a choice not to open it and not due to any mechanical issue. 🤔

Fact or fiction question Mike, are the cocktails stronger than the weak offerings aboard P&O recently. They used to make most from scratch but often saw pre mixes. my pina had little colada
@midatravel8 ай бұрын
Can definitely say for a fact that both Marella ships we have been on you definitely get alcohol overload in their cocktails! 🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹

Great video again. Anyone got details of any discounts they give you onboard in their travel shop for future cruises?
@midatravel7 ай бұрын
Thanks David for your lovely comments and apologies i have not replied sooner. We have not visited the travel shop so cannot really help you on this one. We are on the Explorer in July so i will definitely try and pop in and see what the experience is like and what they are able to offer. Woudl be interesting to know if its better than what you get online or at your local Tui shop. Thanks for watching and hope someone answers your query. 🚢🚢🚢🍹🍹🍹😎😎😎🙂🙂🙂

No irons in the rooms but there is a wash and press service available

Good info, we took a mini steamer that worked brilliantly. Next time we are on board Marella in July we will check out the prices of the wash and press service. Many thanks. 🚢🚢🚢

We are on the Voyager from next Saturday.Our first cruise.We haven't booked many trips because we want to experience the itinerary with more freedom? Not sure that's the best plan.What is anyone's advice? Comments will be appreciated
@midatravel8 ай бұрын
Hi. I think excursions are a lot less important on a Med cruise as usually there is so much to see and do right off the boat. We are on a med cruise in July and won't be booking any. Remember you can always book on the boat if you feel you are missing out or something you really want to see or do, only downside is that certain excursions may already be sold out. Not sure where you are visiting but the only ones where you may need to consider a trip is when it names a port for another place, normally means not a lot at that port and a bit of a trip to where you need to be. We also occasionally choose to stay on ship at certain ports as the ships an even nicer place to be when quieter. Hope this helps, sure you will have an amazing time. 🚢🚢🚢💃💃💃😎😎😎🍹🍹🍹🌞🌞🌞

Many who go on a first cruise will book an excursion at every port visited. However on the Med cruises specially, there is so much to see and do within walking distance on your own with a bit of research. For us, especially myself have either had a land based holiday or worked there, experiencing them again as a cruise passenger always has a different vibe on being back. Love to combine the odd trip and being independent too. Plenty to see and do onboard too.

How busy is it on Voyager? Is there enough seating? We've just been on a mini cruise on MSC virtuosa and it was rammed!
@midatravel7 ай бұрын
Hi Michelle, We have not had difficulty in finding seating on Marella in any area. The main bars such as Squid and Anchor and Art House can get busy in evenings but we have still always found a seat. We preferred the Summer House bar which was always a lot quieter, especially on the open air section. Sunbathing can be busy on the pool deck but there are ample sun beds around the ship. Hope this helps, if there is anything more specific you need to know just give us a shout. 🚢🚢🚢🌞🌞🌞😎😎😎🍹🍹🍹

Lots of space in the bars on Voyager.Plenty of seating and staff work amazingly hard.Returned on 25th May
@HelenHarnett-g9i7 ай бұрын
Regarding sunbathjng- There is a place called the Veranda at the front of the ship right at the top and is quieter with very comfortable sunbed.Also,lots of beds in places all around the ship if you want some peace and quiet.
@HelenHarnett-g9i7 ай бұрын
Always found a seat pretty easily whichever bar we visited.The Summer House was my favourite.Use the cruise news to see what's on where in the evenings and you can time your bar visits to match what singer is on etc.

Hi Mike, is there an iron in your cabin on Voyager?😊
@midatravel7 ай бұрын
Hi Lorraine, sorry for late reply, been on holiday and neglected the comments which i regret. There is no iron on Voyager in your room. There is also no laundry room which is a shame. We took an excellent travel steamer, will try and find the link your you. 🙂
@@midatravelI realised you explained that in part one!!!! Hope you enjoyed your holiday. I'm heading on Voyager very soon🎉

My biggest moan is that on Marella Discovery they have removed the fridges from the cabins😱We had a bottle of water with our drinks package and nowhere to cool it. Also we take milk in at night and again no fridge to put it on. This is the only ship we know of without a fridge in the cabin.
@midatravel6 ай бұрын
I think its a genuine reason for moaning. We found it ridiculous that you get a 1.5ltr bottle of water in your cabin each night and as you say no where to cool it. We ended up leaving 4 full bottles as we went and got the ice cold water out of the machine by the lifts and having flasks kept it ice cold. We did find fridge on Voyager useful for storing milk. Strange decision not to have them on the Discovery/2, would love to know the reasons why? Not sure if Explorer is the same but we will find out in July. Thanks for watching and for your comments. Happy cruising. 🚢🚢🚢🍹🍹🍹🙂🙂🙂
