On the Voyager Transatlantic repositioning cruise in November. First time on this ship. Been on Discovery and Explorer to Caribbean, Far East and Greek islands. Informative video and looking forward to Barbados and St.Lucia etc

We probably love the Voyager most of the 3 Marella ships we have sailed on. Would love to do a repositioning cruise at some point but don't think Dave would be able to cope with 5-6 sea days. Worth the journey to relax though and St Lucia and Barbados are lovely stops. Have a great time and thanks for watching. 🚢😎🌞🍾🍹😎

Great video as ever. Just an FYI - I have just booked Lock in for my cruise in July and the cost has now increased to £16.95. Certainly learnt some great tips, thank you

Hi Leanne. Thanks for your lovely comments, means so much to us. Really interesting about the price hike, guess it’s inevitable but still I think it’s good value. We loved the events at the Exchange.

Great video - I'm sure loads of people are going to find this really useful! I've never actually cruised on Marella Voyager, but I'm really intrigued to give it a go after hearing some of your tips. That BBQ looked absolutely fantastic - I didn't realise that Marella did that - what a lovely way to dine on a warm night out on deck!

Can't believe I didn't answer this, so my apologies, think I must have loved your comment and then been distracted before I replied properly. Out of our 3 cruises with Marella the Voyager is definitely our favourite. You should def give it a go. 🙂

We’re going on 11th May.looking forward to it. Our daughter has autism so was wondering if there’s arts and crafts sessions onboard as she loves that (so do I lol)
@midatravel6 ай бұрын
Hi David, you will find opportunities for you and your daughter to enjoy some arts and crafts. Keep an eye on the cruise news activities and they will be listed there. As an example on our cruise you could design placemats, cards, do watercolours and lots more. They were mostly held at about the 4pm time in the side section of the Arts House. PS....since you tube and creating thumbnails ii'm starting to discover my creative side so there is hope for us all. Sure you will have a lovely cruise. 🚢🚢🚢🌞🌞🌞🖌🖌🖌🖌

Mike, thanks very much for a GREAT video about the tips regarding this ship. Question, what power sockets do Voyager use??
@midatravel5 ай бұрын
Hi Paul. Thanks for your lovely comments, we are so happy the tips are helping. We had one plug easily available which was European. I believe that there were European plugs for the 2 lamps that were hard to get to under the bed so we did not actually use them. We also had one socket which had a 2 pn usb plug which could not be removed. We were so happy we took an extention lead. Its a great ship, enjoy your cruise. 🚢🚢🚢🌞🌞🌞🕶🕶🕶🍹🍹🍹🌞🌞🌞

Another informative video. £14 for a photo, P&O are charging almost double and the quality isn't that great. After our last cruise on Azura and the health and safety issues in our cabin all week not being fixed, very tempted to give Marella a go especially as the have flights out of Exeter. Reminder by my partner , I have another birthday looming towards the end of the year," look into another cruise" with P&O responded erm no, have you seen they have just changed their alchol policy and put up the drinks packages prices by 11% and i bet they still haven't fixed the ruddy plumbing issues or bland food and drop in service standards.🤣
@midatravel6 ай бұрын
Wow, cannot believe that P&O are charging double, i thought £14 was a rip off. We have now done 2 Marella cruises and would recommend them to anybody. We have done Discovery 2 and Voyager and loved them both. Yes we can find faults but i firmly believe that you would be able to do this with any cruise line. Our over riding experience with Marella is the emphasis on having fun and thats what we did. They can not be beaten for their drinks packages and we find the all inclusive sufficient for our needs without having the premium. We will be trying P&O in the future but we are finding it hard to move away from what we love. Explorer next and our first med cruise. Heard so many bad things about P&O so not surprised by your comments. Thanks for watching and let me know when you have that Marella cruise booked! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Happy cruising. 🚢🚢🚢🍹🍹🚢💃💃💃😎😎😎🎤🎤🎤🌞🌞🌞

@@midatravel I booked Voyager last week Mike, Treasure of the Med for October and TUI are actually flying out of Exeter so just a short drive away, saves going out of bristol on sqweezy jet. A week long happy hour, long island tea, pina coladas and a few depth chargers apparently used to be big in new zealand. pint of lager, take a sip out, drop in a shot glass of drambuie including the glass and sip.. If this cruise goes ok, then its Caribbean early 2025 and go see some old favourite places from work. some where in between have to do at least 8 training sessions and exams.

Evening another quick question the restaurants that have a supplement do you pay it on board or pay in advance
@midatravel3 ай бұрын
Hi Barry. You can pre-book using the cruise planner. If you aren't able to do this then you can book using the navigate app when you get on the boat. If you pre-book on planner then you pay straight away. Benefits of pre-booking is that you can select the time and date you want, this may be more limited if you wait until you are onboard. Hope that helps. 🚢🚢🚢🍹🍹🍹😎😎😎

Hi guys love the tours, do they do cycle tours from the ship 🚢?.
@midatravel6 ай бұрын
Hi Kevin. We definitely saw cycling trips advertised in the cruise planner. These seemed very popular and a lot sold out well before the cruise start date so get in quick if any appeal to you. Not sure if these start from the port or if you are taken elsewhere. I have heard that there are 28 bikes on Marella Voyager available to rent in ports, these are electric and traditional bikes. Not sure of costs or whether you can pre book but check with reception when on board. We do have video's of the excursions on our Marella Voyager playlist which do show the bike tours and costs. Have a great time. 🚢🚢🚢🚴🚴🚴🌞🌞🌞

Hi, do you have second border controll before you enter onboard the ship?
@midatravel2 ай бұрын
No you don't. You go straight from the airplane to the Port where they do the processing before boarding the ship. You do have to produce your Barbados visa, passports and ship boarding pass. You are given your room card, pass through the baggage check. It was so quick and easy. 🙂
@JamagicVlog2 ай бұрын
@@midatravel they check your luggage again? I hate having to take my camera out all the time all the chargers and cables it's very annoying. I thought that before boarding the ship I don't have to do it a second time 🤮

Hi, what deck is the spa sun loungers on...is it a long way from the pool area? X
@midatravel5 ай бұрын
The spa is located forward on Deck 11 which is the same deck as the Pool area so a couple of mins walk at the most. Hope this helps. 🚢🍹😎💃🌞

The only issue I had on voyager was I found the pool was very crowded and noisy and a race for sunbeds just like a all inclusive hotels 🙄 so just avoided it
@midatravel5 ай бұрын
Hi Phil, I do agree with you, the area around the pool does get very busy, especially on sea days. We tended to find quieter places to relax on Deck 14. Heard they are clamping down on people leaving towels on sunbeds but how effective this is remains to be seen. Thanks for watching. 🚢🚢🚢🍹🍹🍹😎😎😎🌞🌞🌞

Is there a dress code for the ship restaurants etc?
@midatravel3 ай бұрын
Hi Barry. Smart casual is the way for most restaurants in the evening, i wear smart long trousers and a shirt/polo or dress shorts and polo. The only real no no's in the main restaurants are swimwear/vests, snack shack is great for those. You can be more relaxed with shorts/t-shirt in buffet or bfast/lunch in latitude. Marella have what they call dress to impress nights, you don't have to wear suits/tux but some people chose to, just wear whatever you feel comfortable in. 😀

What money do you use
@midatravel2 ай бұрын
For the Caribbean on Voyager we took US Dollars, Euros for Guadaloupe and we had our Starling card which was accepted everywhere with zero charge. Be careful if you spend cash on the islands that you do not get change in the local currency as it is very hard to get rid of. Also make sure when and if you get dollars that the notes are not damaged in any way or they will not be accepted anywhere. Hope this helps. 🙂🚢🍹
