Well I mean I think it’s kind of clear why based on the games we’ve seen in the Carabao cup, the bench have talent but they don’t necessarily control the game as well as the starters do. Fulham excel from having the counter, in this game I did not understand why we did not hold the possession in the second half and we were lofting balls up the pitch. The thing is if the starters are showing a lack in ability he needs to make those changes before it’s too late bringing on Nkunku in the 70 ish minute isn’t going to win the game.

When Fulham was pressing high you need a player who drops down & give defensive output....You see when we subbed nicho we didn't get the same defensive workrate from Nkunku. Same goes to felix....Nicho's & Palmer's on & off the ball work rate is better than felix & nkunku...I can understand why enzo hesitated to bring on Felix. But definitely, felix can be useful against teams who play low block like Everton etc. And yes this will be a test that how Chelsea respond after two setbacks.

Maresca has a confusing defence system with inverted backs needing cloned players, evident in his briefings and reports concerning players that do NOT fit his style. He's no game manager and we've been there before over the past few seasons. His defence strategy is leaving gaping holes and isolating the CBs. The weakness is at CB LB and GK yet they continue to search for midfielders and wingers. The only issue that I agree with him is that they are not ready to challenge for the title. Dyche then Silva have worked his defensive system out and the rest will now follow. He is over complicating tactics when he should keep it simple and allow players versatility. O for a solid tight defence with a dynamic leader like we had with JT. This failing has not been redressed in 5-6 years. Pity we ever got rid of Antonio Conte - a WINNER.
