Just over a year into being a potter now, I’m starting to desire a truly signature style of my own. I love clay I love flicking a rim of a freshly fired bowl. I love the cool colors and textures.

A very funny thing this video arriving like that. This afternoon I was looking through the second edition of the Ceramics Book of potters 2008 and your page was one that I noted, thinking that I must look at what you make nowadays. And here is this video the same evening. I'm in France since 1969, but English. I realise that we have a lot in common, I have always scratched or made lines, I must leave some marks of a kind and I've always liked the rough textures, since the age of 12. And there's often that question, do I do what I decided or change my idea on th way, just let it come on its own?

Do you apply glaze over the raw piece without drying?

Ms. Curtis, Thank you for taking the time to explain and let us see your inspiring pots. Mr. Kearton, In future videos please do not overlay music on top of someone explaining themselves and throughout reduce the volume in order for the artwork to be the focus instead of the music.
