Such a shame he is no longer with us. A national treasure and a superb potter and one who very much inspires me.

My favorite potter of all time. I had the privilege to attend one of his workshops and it was amazing. He was so warm and encouraging and friendly. I bought his book and two pots. It was one of the best days of my life. Thanks for sharing this segment.

RIP Warren. Your work and ethos will continue to inspire me and all those who love, practice, collect, and teach studio ceramics. I hope to be in my studio till the end. You were just wonderful.

Sometimes i wish life is timeless. So much development to do that unfortunately has to stop because life is to short. It is so beautiful this man Warren made pots as long as he could. Rest in peace dear great potter Warren. You live forth in your beautiful pots. ♡ Love this documentary. Thank you.

What a magical clip. So heart warming, honest and beautifully filmed. Wonderful to watch and listen to such an awesome potter and to see the feeling and expression he transmitted to the pots. Thought provoking. Thank you so much for posting this.

I’m a crafter.. I have been making things since I was 5 years old and learned to crochet.. I spent a couple years in the 1970’s learning to be a potter.. it seemed that there were crafting people everywhere.. my family did not encourage me.. they thought my crafting was “ a nice hobby”.. I married and had 5 children in the 1980’s.. My crafting was, quilting, crocheting, embroidery and paper mache’. I became a member of the North Shore Embroidery Guild in Chicago at that time.. Now.. I live in a tiny farm town out in the middle of nowhere Texas.. there are no craftspeople here and I have come to the conclusion that making beautiful things by hand is a dying art.. My hand work is merely a curiosity to the locals.. the local school no longer has art classes, they removed them from the curriculum several years ago saying they were a waste of resources.. and all the artistic kids just want to draw animie…. It seems that the only place I can find artists is on KZbin..

rest assured, there is a resurgence upon us. Come visit the St. Croix River valley for our pottery sales mother's day weekend. Warren started a dynasty up here and we have the largest pottery sale in North America every year :)

8:11 … “I’m just looking at one pot here and I don’t like it!” Mashes it up! I had to destroy my pots that I didn’t like in secret because my wife would scream “Noooo! You made that! How can you destroy it?! Somebody will love it!” 😆 Nope!!!

That’s one thing about pottery if you don’t like it you will trash it , things I’ve made that I liked other didn’t and things didn’t they liked 😂
