Caught Margaret Glaspy's concert last night in Cleveland at The Grog. I bought five tickets back when they first went on sale in the spring without knowing who I would take. What an absolutely amazing show! Even on her dark songs she glows with the joy and passion of her music. This song does such a nice job of capturing the brillience of her guitar, voice and lyrics. I feel like I'm in on a bit of a secret of her music. But for her sake sure would be nice if more people were in on it too.

I heard this on the radio the other day, and I was reminded of a story my mother told me of the first time she heard "Smells Like Teen Spirit." She stopped what she was doing and listened cause it was so different from everything else on the radio at the time. While I don't think this song will cause a revolution (I would love to be proven wrong), it did made me stop everything and listen. That can't be natural.
@DistantTwins-050211 ай бұрын
The first (and only) time I heard this song on the radio I, too, stopped what I was doing, just to pay attention to it. It really captures that magical "Holy crap-something almost supernatural is going on here-is the universe seeing this?!' feeling of falling for someone. With all the cliché songwriting out there, this one is a total breath of fresh air. Also, my mom was born and raised in Brooklyn, so I very much appreciated the visual shout-out via Ms. Glaspy's sweatshirt. Miss my mom every day.
