Margaret Rutherford's Grave |

We visit the grave and resting place of Dame Margaret Taylor Rutherford, DBE was an English actress of stage, television and film. She came to prominence following World War II in the film adaptations of Noël Coward's Blithe Spirit, and Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest. She won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for her role as the Duchess of Brighton in The V.I.P.s (1963). In the early 1960s she starred as Agatha Christie's character Miss Marple in a series of four George Pollock films. She was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1961 and a Dame Commander (DBE) in 1967. Please join us in visiting the famous grave of Margaret Rutherford.

Long time no see, I was only wondering yesterday what had happened to you and these amazing videos. I have all of the Rutherford "Miss Marple" movies, there are 4, in my Apple account I find then totally charming and wonderful. I downloaded them and when I was living and working in China for 20 years, they always went with me to reminded me of home.. Stringer is an unsung hero in my opinion, he was absolutely devoted to Rutherford and nursed her through her dementia until the very end, a true love story. Margaret Rutherford herself was something of a phenomenon, no beauty (she described herself so) but recognised as a first rate actor. Being awarded a DBE was totally deserved. I love these stunning mini movies.

When filming this location it was quite difficult to avoid the sun glare, hence the distance. Though, I do try other alternatives when this becomes a problem. However, I do appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching 💙.
