That part where her son was taken away from her and was forced to flee is more like a foreshadowing of MQoS, but their only difference is Meg was able to go back to scotland and reconcile with her son.

Elizabeth wasn't thinking about putting some line on the throne, especially since her family did her no good in the first place, so she definitely was actually to glad to see the line her father was obsessing over, which was the exact reason for every misfortune she ever had, being gone! what she cared about was legacy, something her heir, aka James respected and continued to role England according to her wishes and costume, hell he even named his eldest daughter after her. Elizabeth wanted a legacy, not line and that's exactly what she got in death, that's why she won. as bbybella9937 said, being grandmother of some monarch way down the line, isn't something especial! Margaret's husband could marry another woman, and still have the same offspring which he had with Margaret, cause that's what science also works
