I love that you made this video. Not very many people are aware of just how many toxins are in their home. I started this journey around 2009 in a pretty aggressive way but stopped with the candles and air fresheners around 2005 maybe. My cat was wheezing and we took him to the vet. He asked if he were using any of the above listed and if so to stop. We got rid of them all and our cat almost immediately stopped wheezing while sleeping. I am so glad you listed that candle. I haven't ever really taken the time to look for replacements and more so recently in the last few years got the fake ones that look real and use a diffuser and Doterra Essential oils. For the Wifi.. ( that is a tough one for so many ) recently we got rid of almost all of our wifi in our house. It was kinda a major undertaking, but so worth it. I also use a Home Harmonizer to offset some and I also wear Magnetude Jewelry to help my body for things I can't control like the meters they force on our homes. I'm totally going to check out that body wash too. Also a great idea for the eucalyptus in the shower. I definitely need to be better about wearing my blue blockers. I still need to invest in an air purifier. But already did the water filters a long time ago with a company I love. That strips the toxins but not the minerals. It's crazy how much you find when you start researching. Again thank you for sharing, and giving us all such good ideas.

Thanks Wendy. Ah this made me so hopeful reading your words! You're definitely doing the intentional work too. It really does amaze me and makes me sad how many people just don't know. It's not their fault either. People just don't know what they don't know! Thank you for sharing and for your kind words!

@@margaretmatheny You're welcome, and that is so true I think most people don't know until they have major issues. And a lot of times people just don't know ever. I think it's great that you are taking care of your home in a natural way and your kids will learn from you and carry it forward. My only problem now is that once I've gotten rid of those things years ago I struggle really bad in other people's homes with candles, or cleaners, perfumes, and those curly lightbulbs. We somehow become more sensitive, but I think it's worth it even with that being said.

@@wendyeskelin8765 I am the same. I notice it immediately and it stresses me out, which is something that hurts me even more. I ask people to go on a lot of walks, even when I'm at their house. Fresh air is my best friend, haha! It's comforting to talk about this, I feel so understood!

I love everything about this video! I also don't use vegetable oil or table salt... I haven't tried ghee yet though. I've tried ecos and better life for dish washing and they're both awesome :) I'm also a coco aminos user instead of soy sauce! Wellness by Ari candles are on my wish list... I love candles but not the toxins in conventional candles. Also, I love watching Jess Conte too :) I could say so much more about everything you've mentioned in this video. I feel like we have so much in common. Thanks for normalizing non-toxic and clean living. It makes me feel better to know I'm not alone in living a healthier lifestyle!

I’ve been wondering ever since an old video were you mentioned about Salons and the chemicals for pedicures and how we absorb a lot through our feet. What do you recommend for getting a pedicure done ? 😬🙈 do you do your own ? Cuz it’s not my favorite thing to do I’m terrible at it but I don’t want to keep getting regular pedicures.
@msstar7415 Жыл бұрын
Take a set of your own tools for them to use. Find a spa that uses disposable bags within the foot bath. Don’t use the paraffin wax or lotion that they apply. You’re better off taking your own lotion, oil and scrub for them to use as that’s what I’ve decided to do. I also make my own baking soda and essential oil mini bombs rather than have them use their chemicals.

There is an app that has been really helpful to my family. You all probably know about it. It’s called Yuka. You scan the bar code on products and it will tell you how toxic it is. It’s surprising what we have found is poor but we thought it was great. And some things that are great that we didn’t think about. Native products are excellent. However don’t be fooled about all the native products because the deodorant is not.

I’m so confused… arent phenoxyethanol and sodium benzoate carcinogens?? Beauty Counter uses these in their products, so I’m trying to understand what makes them a better option.
@416natty Жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same. They are still toxic chemicals and although maybe the product is better it is not completely clean. Phenoxyethanol is a potential endocrine disruptor so I would bot consider this clean at all
