I used to learn with/from sid with his mom in their garage in Fremont. Trust me when I say, he was just as skilled of a vocal singer in 2005. I miss learning from them, and would do it again if I could.

TM Krishna is, perhaps, one with his 'politics' than with his singing!! His music began to 'fade' many years ago. Maybe that explains his 'change of direction'?
