You get three top kits with the Preston mate so that's even more impressive and you can get them for 150/180 second hand, I have the new superium one which goes up to 10m 8.5 standard but buy the 10m extention as an extra

It’s a weapon mate that torque! I’d have that over all of those I think… ok, maybe not the MAP, but certainly consider it over the others… it pulls like a tug boat! Thanks for the kind words mate 👍🏻 BB

I have used the Drennan acolyte 10m pole which is amazing, but since I got the MXT1 13m pole I have also used it as a margin pole. Since I bought it in February I have had 6-16lb 4-15lb many 10 to 14lbers from Monks lake in Kent. Comes with 4 power kits. I use 17 and 15 elastic from nick Gilbert.

Matrix also offer an 8.7 metre pure MTX margin Pole. Comes with 3 power 2 top kits. All pre bushed and fitted with puller kits. It is £120.00 cheaper than the Matrix Power Pole reviewed in this video. It is an absolute unit of a margin Pole. Unbreakable, and it is fishable at full length all the time. I interchange the sections with my MTX3 if I want to beef up and fish at length.

I've a 10 m preston monster margin pole Great finish, stiff and light and you can really bully the fish in. Great review think most margin poles are very similar,

Definately ,I sometimes prefer the margin pole to my better pole, purely you guarantee to get the fish in , and the cost of broken sections I think in a few years we will get stronger poles with longer lengths ,but usable over 11m

Great review B.B I was going to get middy m2 from my local tackle shop but at the time they couldn't get hold of one. So I went for the edge monster. Lovely first pole. Caught some nice carp on it. Can't recommend it enough.

Another great video BB 👍🏻 definitely agree with you if your starting out to buy a margin pole. Gives you a feel of using one and if you wanna upgrade to one of the 13-16m you can. That’s how I started out with my monster edge then I bought the Preston Protype x200. I like that the topkits are interchangeable so if you do have 2 poles the same brand keeps cost down in the long run 👍🏻 The venue looks cracking and some nice fish caught well done mate 👍🏻

Great review BB. I was lucky and got a few Pennies for my birthday a few weeks ago Went and treated myself to the 10mtr Edge Monster. Cracking Pole....straight and strong. Had a few up to 10lb on it and it took it all in its stride. Also was a bargain as it was in a sale with 22% off 👍👍

Probably cause it is a bit heavy at 16m 😆 I wouldn’t fish a full 5 hour match at 16m with it, but it means you can get the distance if you need it… it’s a great pole 👍🏻 BB

Any chance of doing a video on what you would do if you had £400 to spend? I already have a box etc so would need a pole and feeder rod and maybe float rod but have my old match rod. I want to fish commercial canals and rivers just to make it dead easy. Would you buy new or second hand and what the options might be? Thanks Tony

map tks power kits are pre bushed. best margin pole for the money .. Middy xtreme M3 .. 11.5 metres or 13 metres. 30 elastic rating strongest in the world, you can put tks map top kits on it also.
