It would be interesting to hear what your main take away was from Mises, as it seems he was hugely influential to your role models and yourself, but it rarely ever talked about.

yves helsen isn't it beautiful... I am bombarded with Marx in every lecture. It is nice to find that not everyone is as dogmatic to his theories as is the University "elites".

Ron Gordon marxism is just a theory of others economic theory. If you only want to knew a few. It is just like dogmatisme. Even instutionalisme (stiglitz, galbraith), the german economic history school, behaviouralism, aren in this lectures. If you know the professors, than you know they only gave just a part of the schools.

Because Marx wasn't a economist But more of a sociologist These people are those who supported market system and that's economics

This "problem" is a direct result of the fact that people must compete against each other for basic necessities under capitalism. Super-brilliant capitalism apologist: "OH NO, how come the data isn't all in one place?" Because no one wants to starve and sharing their data could mean losing the competitive advantage thereby losing business, possibly going out of business, losing all of one's capital and starving. If you wanted the data all in one place, you shouldn't have designed a system where data must be kept confidential so competitors don't lose their advantage, go out of business and lose everything. Maybe if these greedy monsters didn't ruin what humans naturally do (work together and share information for the benefit of everyone) by exploiting everyone they meet for their own personal gain, the data would all still be in one place because no one would be competing for their lives and there'd be NO reason to keep any data secret. It makes me sick this kind of garbage passes as academic and scholarly, it's complete & total nonsense and that goes for all supply side Austrian economics. There's no such thing as an invisible hand, it's all made-up fairy tales passing itself off as science and it's disgusting and offensive to real science.

consumerism is the disease not capitalism

Sir Nunez capitalism instigates consumerism. Think about it. Ascetics are not on the list of those capitalism targets.

lol cooperation has been tried and failed, over and over and over and over, its a fundamental misconception to believe humans are better off under collective cooperation, it ignores many basic psychological facts, it in fact ignores sooo many facts its not funny, competition is actualy the best way to get results and through that competition everyone is inadvertently helping each other, sp they get to be the individuals that they are as well as helping others, its a system grounded in way more fact than the anti human collective cooperation utopias. Saying that information wont be shared because people are in competition completely misunderstands the purpose and function of a bottom up system.

@@clockfixer5049 no consumerism is hedonism, the system is irrelevant, its a moral problem not an economic one, capitalism just manifests that particular brand of hedonism, if it wasnt capitalist it would manifest another ways, essentially its about the lack of meaning in most peoples lives, or as John vervaeke has term it "the meaning crisis"

tim lee you missed the point. The word I used is 'instigates' which, if you give it a thought, renders your comment totally amiss.
