Beautiful area to walk, you guys are very fit! My chihuahua and I walk between 3 and 4 miles on our mostly flat hikes. She’s always out in front prancing away. I’ve never had a better walking mate.

Last week while walking my sweetie pie, a coyote stepped up onto the sidewalk in front of us and held its ground. I immediately picked up my sweetie pie and stood as tall as I could, something I had read to do. Within seconds the coyote began acting fearful and jumped off the sidewalk into the brush. Small dogs are always at higher risk. Being aware of not only coyotes, but other dogs...especially off leash dogs, can be life saving. I sometimes question if I should stop walking with my sweetie pie for safety reasons, I try to always be vigilant. We love our walks.

Nora matuszewski 😂 yes! I think it’s called that because it’s “bald” on top. The peak is above the tree line. We’ve hiked to toe peak before. It’s beautiful. I’m trying to teach Margo to love nature as much as I do!

What a fabulous place to have on your doorstep. It reminds me of places Ive been to on holiday, in Greece or Portugal. It's mind blowing to think of the size of California compared to my entire country.(And by my country I mean Scotland because I don't consider myself British.) The population of Scotland is probably around 5 and 1/2 million. 😂 We are expecting some wintry showers in the next couple of days and it's to be around 46° .We call that pleasantly warm!! Wow. Margo is such a wee darling, trotting along beside her people and happy just to be with you.💖 Dempsey is small too and I get asked a lot if he is a puppy. A puppy?! That infers canine. He's his mummy's special baby boy, and Mama's gorgeous handsome darling.What is wrong with these people? Enjoy the weekend lovely Swifts, and stay safe and well. Mwuah 😘😘 from me and the bairn. 💖🙋🐶

I love watching your videos so much! I'm planning on getting a Chihuahua at the end of the year around Christmas time. And I was wonderful is a chihuahua a good bread to bring up around young children. Thank you so much keep up the good work 😁

Chihuahuas have a reputation for not being a good dog to have with kids, but that’s a reputation they have earned unfairly from lack of proper socialization. Make sure when you get your sweetie pie that you know the breeder paid a lot of attention to socialization. It’s fvital you get a puppy that’s been handled daily since birth to ensure he or she is psychologically ready to become a member is an all a human “pack”. Even better yet, make sure to get him or her from a breeder who has kids so the puppy is already familiar with kids. Then once you get your sweetie pie, there are many exercises you can do to teach him or her to love your kids. Kids can be scary to a tiny Chihuahua just because kids are unpredictable and can be loud. But once your sweetie pie is comfortable in his new family, he will be a wonderful companion for everyone in the family. Here’s a video I made on this subject. @@SweetiePiePets Dempsey has become friends with the 20month old toddler next door. They run up and down in their own gardens on either side of the fence, and Reign was feeding him bits of sausage through the fence. They seem to communicate with long looks, and Reign babbles in ? Martian which Dempsey seems to understand. 😂

And I'm glad I have read and its given me clarity because I feel like I'll get a sweetie pie when I leave home as I feel that right now my siblings are very young . And on the bright side by auntie is the breeder with 5 children so that's great. I'd love to get a sweetie pie now but I want my chi to have the best life possible 😊😊😊

We never let our chi's out of our sight or stray too far. When we're outside of the house we always make sure to have them on a leash or carry them
