Alexandre Kantorow recommended recordings conducted by Golovanov on his Instagram account. I had never heard of him before. Kantorow was right. The sheer genius and intensity of Golovanov's musicmaking has swept me off my feet. You don't experience revelations of this kind very often. Thanks to Margo Beloved for making these recordings accessible in high quality.
