I'm not even bull-ishing bro! Look at my "most popular vids" playlist. The 2nd most watched video (on the whole channel) was singing Little Lion Man by Mumford & Sons. *THERE WAS NO MIC, and it was recorded from a PHONE* (its unedited) and it still sounds light-years better than Mari's original vocals. And yet half of the comments were people saying that I sounded mid or "below average..." *Sigh* 😔😮‍💨

Didn't get a notif for it, so I would've never seen it if I didn't randomly decide to watch this video again just now... 😓 What you said put me in the feels a bit, ngl. It made me feel some kind of way, because it's lowkey trueee. It was my first time recording with the intent to make it public. So I was hella nervous, plus I have bad (untreated) anxiety, which gets overwhelming in those situations. That makes it tough, but my main issue is that I DON'T love my voice... Sometimes I wish it was different. Since I have OCD, and tend to not stop until I'm either satisfied or I break myself, there's times where I've tried pushing my voice for a couple hours straight. Those are rare moments, because I live with family, and don't want anyone hearing me, which is also where the shyness comes from. The interesting thing is that even tho I don't love my voice, and often try changing the tone of it around and testing the differences, there are small rare moments--while straining my voice--that makes me realize there's something potentially special hidden deep down somewhere in me. I heard it myself a few times throughout the years, but I doubt myself too much, and I'm afraid that it's buried miles deep down, and that you'd need one of those big oil digging machines to find it. Lol With that said tho, I do have a recent clip of me singing "Hold On" by The Jonas Brothers. I was louder and more confident in that one. I just featured it again in my reaction from yesterday, of someone named "sexyy red" singing "U My Everything." I compared the two together (hers and mine), and I have to be frank here... Her's was painful. It was like she wasn't even trying AT ALL, bro. Mines ain't the best either, I know, but I was at least trying. It's the latest vid up now. Really wish I had one of those pro mics, or recording studios btw. I'd sound a lot better fr. 😮‍💨 P.S. Thanks so much for actually talking to me, giving me a heart-to-heart conversation, and being real with me. I've gotten so used to getting comments that are only a few words long, saying that I'm just mid or whatever. Yours is rare. TY. 🙏❤️
