A art media's sole purpose is to express what creator has in his mind and if that thought process is questioning something that is wrong in this society then it is all the more welcomed. "Thevar Magan was released 30 years ago - what’s the point in pointing out now?" - let's see every year we face hundreds of honor killing in India, Pudukkottai incident where some "unknown" people mixing feces into drinking water of one community of people under caste discrimination and two school students being denied the services at their local vendor because of local elites issuing ban to serve people of SC/ST community living in the same region(both these incidents happened just few months ago in our very state), etc... i could go on. Given this facts and the sad truth that there are still rural areas in our very state where people from SC/ST and even some in BC are segregated and discriminated in more ways than what i mentioned above *i say your question is ignorant and shows in reality that something is wrong with you for even asking this question.*

Maari selvaraj did not had to wait for this moment to disgrace kamal sir's work. I dont think Maari selvaraj has shown his heroics by doing this to Kamal sir. We admire Kamal sir as an actor. Opinions are always welcome but If maari has an opinion on devar magan, he could have chosen media to share the opinion before pariyerum perumal or after he got famous with the movie or before karnan or after karnan or before the shooting of maamannan, or during the shooting of maamannan. But he purposely wanted to humiliate Kamal sir personally in front of Kamal sir himself and the media, so this was a planned effort by maari selvaraj. Though his movies are speaking the ugly truths, with his provoking speech in maamannan audio launch, he does not deserve Kamal sir's presence anymore. That does not mean sir's presence is great/lucky but maari does not deserve sir's presence in any of his creations that's it. Good that Maari has started this, because Kamal sir, the man himself, has graciously accepted maari's opinion, now everyone will start finding and highlighting the faults in Kamal sir's movies. This is what maari and his colleagues are expecting. Wow..what a great thought provokers we got..😂Be ready for similar letters/stones/hatred/intentional blaming/thought of seperations at your later part of your life too Mr.Maari Selvaraj, I am sure you have already planned for that too.😂

Nothing about what his goals or bad experiences or community or caste are. He might have been a victim, everyone are the victims in one way or the other way everyday in the society. Rebel for a good cause is fine. But Maari took up a masterpiece work with a great artist, my point is very simple, if he had this pain in his heart, he did not had to wait this long, instead he could have shown it very early and there are multiple mediums for it.
