I have adored this woman for decades. She just gets better and better. I love everything she does and everything she's on. I dont think she will ever understand the impact she's had on people with mental health or even that she has saved lives. I ADORE HER.

Me too. I remember seeing her first comedy central presents special when I was like 10 or 11 and it made me realize how much I love stand-up. She is an absolute genius and I'm so glad she shares so much about her mental health experiences because it will definitely help a lot of people to hear that they're not alone in their mental illness.

So sad but true. While having more money to spend on mental health care is useful, it also doesn't necessarily mean that the care you get is better or more effective. It's often the things surrounding the care, ie: the luxuriousness of the facility, the food, activities available etc.

It's almost like it's a giant conspiracy to cover up for the methodical destruction of the western mind by its corrupted institutions with the side benefit of grifting some cash for its purveyors, with a small little sprinkle of actual usefulness and healing just to keep it juicy. Or something.

Absolutely. I remember one day during my mental health treatment thinking “Is this it? Is this all they have for me?” It was disheartening. Drugs and platitudes? 🤷🏼♂️
@brookesea4610 Жыл бұрын
It's insanely true. I went to Silver Hill in New Canaan CT in 2010, it was $69,750 for a month and it was worthless. I went to 5 other places around the same price, same deal. I only started to get better off meds and with trauma therapy, specifically somatic-based trauma therapies. I also had undiagnosed autism and Lyme disease the whole time. I was misdiagnosed by every clinician I had for over 30 years
