In a way, Klay and Crisostomo is developing a sibling bond rather than romantic one. Despite Klay's "crushing" on him. Klay didn't realized it yet, but she's only admiring Crisostomo and soon actually look at him as a friend. Crisostomo on the other hand does considers her a friend. This episode actually seems like Crisostomo is sending his sister to dorm and that particular whiny sister doesn't wanna leave. LOL.

Klay has more character because she’s a real person. The others are characters of a novel, technically not real people so their characterization are not as varied as it is in real life

Filipinos have a romantic culture. Flirting and courting here is quite fun. I kind of agree that a guy should court a girl though only if he wants to. Courting here is an effective ice breaker, shows direct interest and reassuring to women. Just a different culture but it’s nice to see a man in love make the effort once in a while especially nowadays where things go a bit too fast and direct. Filipino courtship were encouraged so things are done at a much steadier pace plus that helps the guys get closer to his bros who in traditional courtship directly helps him in getting the girl. On the girl’s side, her friends also play match maker. Both friends tease and end up collectively shipping them. It’s really nice to see in real life, the haranas. Those lucky ladies being serenaded are quite rare now sadly but hearing our parents’ stories about their time was really interesting.
