What a stellar interview. I love that the gentleman really listens and bases his next questions from there. She’s amazing. Her small hands but beautiful playing are an inspiration for me.

Listening to Ms. Pires and her music is truly a transcendental experience. She offers us far more than just her performances; her music resonates deeply in my heart. I'm incredibly fortunate to have the chance to see her perform next May in Chicago. I wish her a long and healthy life, as both I and the world need the treasure of her wisdom and generosity, which extends beyond music. Thank you for the wonderful interview!

Great conversation, but the speaking and the subtitles do not match, which is somewhat distracting. Please correct that. Thank you in advance. Apart from that it is always uplifting to listen darling Maria share her wisdom with us. I learned so much from her and am still learning. Every single day. She has that rare ability to make you aware of yourself and what you need as a pianist and bring it up in you even when she is not present physically.

Dear Mrs. Pianist Maria, what you give to your audience comes from your brain, then to your trained hands, but what sounds so loving is your heart that packages the music in your love and sends it to us, your public. There can be no criticism of your love for music. We love you Maria.🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 (Holland) Glad to find you again Zsolt- pianoman.

Maria, "If I see music as an exchange, a giving and receiving, then I am not stressed. But if we are not in the exchange, the sharing, then I am stressed. If it is 'I give and you receive' (as in competition) then it is very unequal. A very unhealthy relationship. We are not able to be open to what happens beyond what we know."

What a marvelous woman. And what marvelous thoughts. For me she is describing being (or perhaps becoming) an artist. This is very difficult because words have a two dimensional quality and true musical artistry seems to exist in four dimensions. The odd thing is that, however illusive, you recognise it the moment you hear it. Anyway, another lovely interview Zsolt. Thank you.
