The Plastic Knight actually refused to drop out I thought. Dialogue he later had at the bar said he planned on being defiant, only later to survive an assassination attempt at his son's birthday party.

Mlyner is the real tsun in the story, there's like a good meme in the ak subreddit where his actions are for the betterment of maria even though he knows what he's doing is scummy

From the look of it, abandoning the Knight title is actually the consensus of the Nearl family as whole. Nearl Father, Grand Father, Mylner, Zofia, and even Margaret decide to abandon it. But for some reason Margaret change her mind despite knowing the consequence, Zofia admire her decision and also join the battle later. After the event of Margaret exile, Mylner and his father which is already in sick bed are the one who take the full consequence of Margaret action which is why he fed up about it. That said, it seem Margaret "exile" is actually due to the effort of Nearl Family for Margaret won safety. So even if Mylner is really angry about it, he do put many effort for the safety of Margaret and Maria. And then Maria also stubbornly decide to put herself in danger make him even more angry about it. Honestly, Mylner got the worst part of what happen in the story.

that point with the plastic knight's armor not having a good cooling system and him loosing because of it is a really neat detail because similar happened to many knights back in the day, a lot of helmet design had really bad ventilation leading to the knight geting knocked out by a lack of oxygen

Fantastic vid man! Also, incredible pronounciations of the different names here, Im not Polish so I really struggled with some of them. Also, I wanna add that I love how the music sorta tells a bit of the story as well, Kazimierz's theme is electronic and dubsteppy, highlighting that it is more of a e-sport event, all show but no substance,while Marias theme is a old medieval track, emphasizing her dedication to honor and respect, even the name 'Stay Gold' hints at this.

Best storytelling by far. I was hooked reading the event story. This is the first time that I really cheered for and worried for a character. Maria is just too precious and her relationship with Zofia was nice. And this is the only time I shouted really hard when Margaret arrived to rescue Maria. Awesome event and story.

Actually been digging the translations of the recent events so far! It's not perfect but it's quite understandable. You can tell each individual character's personality with their dialogue. I was prepared to sleep after I played one stage; didn't even care much for Maria too despite many showcases. But as soon as I got to the story, I actually found her endearing and rooted for her. I also quite enjoy Gavial's event. The dialogue options were hilarious and actually fun to choose from.

Actually as guy livin in Poland, its quite funny how they managed some of names in event, like "czarny" just stands for Black, and Szewczyk kinda stands for lastname and job what depends on fixing clothes. Also the first King of Poland, Mieszko Wielki

I was so hoping you were gonna make a video on this! This event is just pure opium for lore nerds. It has a ton of world building, great characters, drama, all of it! I hope we get more events like this in the future, that really dice into the local history and culture of the different societies in Terra. The story is also just all around well written. I find it especially interesting because it comes from a Chinese company, it makes the meta lore at least as interesting to talk about! The video was great too! You hit the perfect balance between memes and story telling, a real joy to watch! Great editing too, with all the screenshots and the Followers helping Maria in the background fight. PS: Nice quote form the Boss. I knew it must be him, even if I haven't listened to his new stuff in a long time.

Great video bro! Thanks for explaining the whole story, because sometimes it was pretty hard for me to follow what’s happening from all these dialogs. Btw your pronunciation of polish words was great as well. The only thing I found weird about that as a Pole is your pronunciation of names Zofia and Maria. You were saying them with a long i (in polish it would be spelled ij) which sounds a bit like the old polish. But in modern polish we say them with short i. If you want you can check how to pronounce them in for example google translate. Anyway thanks for this video!

Personally, I think the uncle is the Blood Knight, considering that he was the only character the board was afraid of by the time of the last fight. My theory goes like this: he participated with an alias, maybe to avoid using the Nearl name as a springboard and rather win by his own efforts, thus so little information regarding the Blood Knight. Then he arrived at the finals, expecting to face off the famous Black Night, only for her to flee before the board had her executed only for been good at her craft. This would have shattered the vision the Blood Knight had of knighthood, as the greatest of skill and honor means nothing if the companies deem you a treat, thus his bitterness towards knights and the Mayor. I think about it because of two things: 1, the mentioned fear the board had of him joining the fray, and 2, the fact that, despite his words regarding knights and knighthood, he still carries around a very noticeable Sword and armor. As far we have seen, ornaments like those are not random in Arknights. Of course, that's just my theory, I hopped to get more info once the EX maps appeared, but there was no extra information, so I guess we will have to wait for the next time we hit Kazimirez.

You missed one key detail, that is that auntie made a lot of money after she retired as a knight due to injury, and she now basically can buy a knighthood if need be. That is another reason why she doesn't want anyone risking their life for something she can just buy with money if necessary.

I'm not sure why did they name Nearl (the operator) Margaret. All of the names in the event are either polish or polish-like. Except Margaret. Only thing I can think of is Małgorzata being hard to pronounce. But then Kazimierz is even harder so Idk.
